@NickFoote: ...and it would go on and on like that Bjork video with the musical.

Great post. I loved the first film, down to the Disneyfied Carlos choral bits as the world flowers, but on seeing it again on the big screen recently, I know that my hindsight was rose-tinted.

I saw it yesterday. I had goosebumps during certain scenes - or should that be swan-bumps? Intense crazy stuff.

The scene in the Dawn Of The Dead remake when we first see the chaos in the suburbs, followed by the long shot of her driving, with fires and more chaos...

This show is associated with a bad time for me - crap job, no prospects or money, living with parents, cycling through cold and rain to get home and watch this over dinner.

@muteboy: like in Beneath The Planet Of The Apes

Whenever I read stuff like this, I have a discordant version of "All Things Bright And Beautiful" playing in my head.

Will it be a darker, more edgy reboot!? OOOOOO

Excellent piece. I love Brooks' codification of one aspect of the genre.

There was an independent UK movie in 1970 called 'Hoverbug', where a group of plucky kids built a racing hovercraft using a special new glue - but the rich kids cheated and sabotaged it! Who will win? Do you care?

Slaine is awesome. Bisley's artwork is incredible.

John Turturro is gonna f**k those kids up

@ShanaLD: The Japanese one makes more sense, and it complies with the International Standards Organisation standard 8601, as ratified by the American National Standards Organization.

@yayforjam: I thought that was just rush hour.
