I use Simplenote with free app mNote on my Android phone. I was looking for a replacement for my old Palm Memos, and it works fine. I find Evernote too complex for my simple needs.

@meseta: Right, that's what I do. I use a brush or the air can to blast it loose, then the vacuum sucks it up. I fix the hose so it is near the work.

@Platypus Man: It does work well, but it was a shock to discover that it doesn't auto-sync. Even a notification that something had changed would be an improvement. Still, they're working on it.
