I'm a little disappointed that you didn't recommend putting nails in the wall to hang your pots. Or better yet, to get a pot rack. Especially considering the picture for this post.

How is Firebug Lite better than Chrome's built-in javascript debugger? I haven't used the Firebug Lite extension yet, but used the bookmarklet for IE in the past and was disappointed. I have been happily surprised by Chome's debugger as it often does things that Firebug can't. Has someone compared the two?

@elpendejo: He was injured in the game against the Ravens in November and placed on IR nearly a month before his death.

@BruschisBrewsky: Yes, but there is a strange correlation between the Bengals playing well and Chris Henry playing. Once Henry went IR, the Bengals schedule got much easier, yet they were playing worse...

uh-oh. They just said Sanchez had poise... cue Deadspin story...

I'd like to see an app-feature/performance/ease-of-use comparison between iPhone, N1, Pre and Droid. As has been pointed out before, the number of Apps is not as important as what they do and how they do it.

Oh wow. I thought I came up with this idea... now I feel un-imaginative. I put the skewers in an quaker oatmeal jar and then covered that in nice paper. Not as classy looking as Lifehacker's. But certainly saves you $ by just recycling some things you have normally.

@pschroeter: I think the exact same thing. At work, I used to want to have their ambient sounds as an mp3 that I could loop. Of course, that was until I listened to Ommwriter's music for 8 hours straight one day...

@Zombie Ms. Skittles: I agree: they should provide a way that you can add your own pictures as background photos. While I love what they provide as the defaults, sometimes I come across a calming wallpaper photo that would be perfect for Ommwriter.

@0John0: At first this discouraged me a little. But it didn't take long for me to figure out what each button did. Unlike other programs, I was delighted to find that when I returned to the program, knowing what each button did felt instinctive.

I liked this program so much, I decided to bring my laptop to work (where we only have PCs). After an hour of writing, I began to recognize the repetition of a melody in the song and it became distracting. I switched tracks but by day's end I was sick of all the ambient music Ommwriter offered.

When I worked in a kitchen two years ago, we used the dish towel trick all the time to keep the cutting board from moving around. It doesn't need to be damp. Just fold the dish towel a few times and place it beneath the cutting board. Works like a charm.

1. I don't know that this qualifies as "cable management". Really, they are just hidden.

@WinthropButterfly: Then you'll want to stick with Chrome. Minimalist and fast.
