I see what you're saying about Gretchen and the child husbands, even i got worried for a moment before it was cleared up. Gretchen is my favourite Mole Woman so i'm always happy to see her, but she's also the most obviously disturbed and sad, so it can feel a little weird when they make jokes like that. I mean, if

Since i've watched the whole season this didn't spoil me but since it was a nice surprise when I saw it maybe just put a spoiler warning on this for anyone watching along with the reviews?

If Netflix decided to just do a random mash-up of its shows (like how in the UK some shows crossover for charity fundraisers) I would be so on board with The Defenders and Kimmy Schmidt hanging out and doing Task Rabbit jobs.

Yeah Xan not being 'cool' because she's rich didn't seem right to me either. Xan has been repeatedly shown to just act like other people and hide who she actually is, so it would be more interesting to see her come out of her shell in order to gain popularity/friendship. And listen: a cute friendship between Kimmy and

That is one way to look at it, I suppose. I'm not really complaining about how they're presented, but in my view the satire only works if there is a grounding to it. If they're going to make fun of people adopting those attitudes without understanding them, then shouldn't the show be calling them out on it?

You hit the nail on the head with 'political straw man'. As i say below: SJWs exist, and some to the levels this show presents, but it's not about being offended for its own sake or being sensitive. Those beliefs come from actual concern, which is something UKS seems to have trouble understanding.

I won't say that those people don't exist (i've personally interacted with some at my campus) but this show has never done a great job actually satirising them. Maybe the writing staff skews a little too old to understand that group of people.

I can't tell you how happy I am that this show is back in my life. The last six months have been pretty awful on my mental health so it's nice to watch something that can be so funny yet at its core be about getting through stuff that just isn't going well. Sometimes when i'm sad i actually look up "Just Go On" from

At this point us fans will al just have to accept the Jacqueline stuff. It helps that Jane Krakowski is, well, Jane Krakowski, and that her parents are hilarious. It gets us through the rough patches.

That monologue is genuinely heartbreaking, and it was a perfect choice to follow it up with Titus' fantastic line delivery.

Oh i understand this completely. That woman operates on a level most actors wish they could get to. But the acting on this show i just… different to how a lot of other shows work. Kemper and Burgess are fantastic and, in their own ways, shockingly nuanced.

I think of his affable presence as more like (to borrow Hannibal reference) him wearing his 'person suit', where he's a normal, incredibly charming guy, except that unlike Hannibal he's hilariously idiotic. The whole character is very strange tonally, but it doesn't take a lot of smarts to do any of he stuff he's done.

Oh man i would watch Judy Greer as a lead in any show. A UKS starring her feels like it would have a darker tinge than this one though.

A lot of comedies right now are doing this. You're The Worst and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend are fantastic at it as well. But UKS hits so many interesting notes because this is a bizarre, almost cartoonish reality where dark shit still happens. Broken people in this world are just fascinating to me.

I haven't heard this story before but I can just picture it so clearly. Amy Sedaris is a treasure.

Without giving away too much to anyone who's watching with the reviews: Laura Dern's episode is the best of the season for me. It has a lot of heart and empathy, which UKS doesn't necessarily lack but sometimes they punctuate those scenes with jokes they don't need. Dern's stuff is the show at its best.

I don't even need to watch The Jinx. All this secondhand info is insane enough.

The Fade Out was! I've been trying to get through as much as possible, but then ingot into Grant Morrison too. I'm snowed under with quality.

She's pretty likeable in roles but not a spectacular actress from what I've seen. I know Darcy from Thor has a lot of fans so that's a possible reason for her following. As a person though she's pretty damn cool, like someone you'd marathon movies and eat pizza with. I suspect most people enjoy her natural

A friend of mine has ADD and ASD and finds these things really helpful for concentrating. It's people who don't have those disorders who just focus on spinning it. 'Different brains' need different stimulation.
