The sad thing is that you can bet Donald Trump wants an Oscar.

Now we all know that's just untrue…

The fact that she didn't is sucky. I guess Viola was due for one?

Ah yes, I misunderstood you there - my bad. I agree with your point. In fact, I want more historical dramas about women in wartime specifically because they are frequently left out of these movies. We also haven't seen their stories be done to death.

I don't know if Hacksaw Ridge, considering it setting and subject, could have integrated women any more than it did. War movies are male dominated for obvious reasons.

I enjoy Chip Zdarsky's writing immensely (if you haven't yet, i'd recommend checking out Kaptara), so this Spider-Man news has my interest piqued. It seems a perfect fit as far as i can see.

It's a shame Chew gets to be more of a chore you have to finish. I like the series a lot, but it's a classic example of trying to do too much and stretching itself too thin.

I think we're meant to see it as her getting lucky. She probably had some talent but that email (which, fwiw, seemed intentionally poor, to show her lack of polish) getting anyone to come to the show was pure luck. The casting director makes it sound as though this was the type of project that lived or died by the

it's like he's been deflated.

"Rachel Bloom-" sold.

Most award things are seriously averse to science fiction. If the tides had shifted even a little this year my dark horse would have been Arrival. Currently it's Moonlight. I just can't fathom HF winning. I liked it a whole lot, but Moonlight was too breathtaking.

Isn't that half of her performance in Spider-Man?

It's in both sides of my family. So I'd say it's very likely that I'll get it. It's a depressing thought but hey, I could always die in a terrible, improbable balloon accident.

Rash would have a lot of fun with Zazoo

Dang it you're right! I just sort of assumed it would be animated. It's not like it makes a difference if it's live action.

I'm reading Persepolis right now (loving it) and recall Satrapi saying that as a child she wanted to be the next Marie Curie. Knowing her admiration for Curie, let's hope that even 'The-Cursed-Child-Guy' won't sour what could be a great animation.

"Let's Play" people are almost always terrible, yet they're the ones who'll get more attention than most. But the people who made Carmilla got deservedly popular by actually trying to do something different and, miraculously, succeeding. Why can't we talk about them instead of the obnoxious dickheads?

I generally try to be fair even when i dislike the person's videos or sense of humour, but fuck this guy. He's an asshole just to be an asshole. In fairness to him, he might not actually hate these people and just does this because he likes the attention and enjoys the subsequent fallout.

Rogue One (which I saw six times so obviously love) is a great movie, but I can't call it the best of 2016. Arrival was my favourite all things considered. it's a subtle, beautiful film, and I'm still bummed that Adams wasnt nominated for it.

I didn't know that. Oh lord I'm not ready for such delightfulness.
