Especially considering that both have obvious stylistic ambition, despite one (La La land and Birdman) having reasonably cut and dry stories. Moonlight probably deserves best picture over La La Land, but whereas Moonlight is difficult to watch because its so emotionally haunting, La La Land is rewatchable because it's

I could have accepted it if the movie corrected the stage play by acknowledging that these people were bratty in some way and took steps to develop them instead of validating their attitudes.

When Modern Family started it really was a clever show, its latter day stuff is just lazy and relies on past glory an a talented cast. Big Bang Theory is definitely similar in that way. Although at this point Parsons, Rauch and Helberg are the only ones who seem interested in doing anything different.

On the subject of Modern Family - that cast is wasted on that material. On the subject of The Office - I miss The Office and its ability to bring joy, damn it.

Oh this was that book? Yeah we dodged a bullet. Still, there was probably a better way to do the scene than… Whatever that was.

Lucy's central conceit (the 10% of your brain thing) is stupid, but the movie is fun, disposable action. 'Reasonably good sign' seems right

Bosworth could have been good as Lois if Returns were a straight reboot rather than a weird sequel-thing. She was just miscast considering the roles specifics. A 22-year old being a mother and Pulitzer prize winning journalist who had a relationship with Supes five years ago stretches credibility, which makes her seem

To each their own. She can definitely give a bad performance (looking at you, X-Men: Apocalypse) but she's shown talent elsewhere. She wasn't better than Riva, is my point.

Lawrence IS a great actress, but Riva's performance was just better. Lawrence has a long career ahead of her to win another one (and got a nom for American Hustle the year after).

What I like is that from his point of view these events are 'unfortunate' for him too because he isn't getting what he wants. He feels wronged, hence why his part of the song is equally melancholy.

They're definitely the best the show has done (a surprise considering the relative weakness of the book) but this review brings up valid points. Some things need to be left out (even if they're in the book) and some things hit the wrong side of goofy in the show. The tenuous grasp on physics can be okay but the

Hey I love most of her work, my issues with her character in Doctor Strange are that she's under-written and isn't given much to do. I hope the sequel will do a better job with her. She's a severely underrated performer.

It bothers me to no end that those people exist. And knowing that Saville was being a creeper during the show's years make the episode doubly tainted.

She saved his life but her role could have been removed simply by beefing up the other doctor's scenes and lines. I'm sure they'll expand on her in the sequels, but the character wasn't much to write home about in the movie.

I agree she did a good job, but her character could have been almost wholly removed and not affected anything in the movie.

There's separating art from the artist and then there's defending the artist because they make/made great art. The latter is stupid. I'm sure there are still people defending proud rapist Rolf Harris.

Constance Wu is good people

I forgot the movie even came out. And her over Adams? What?

FIFTY? Crazy keeps you hot,i guess.

It seemed like the sister thing was just a quick way to solve the pretty much non-existent love-triangle. Also it has not escaped my notice that despite being another hope for the Jedi she never even holds a lightsaber. Missed opportunity.
