Carol Kane would have been a perfect 1960s Batman villain.

She's the most talented of the Friends cast. If you haven't seen Clockwatchers (with Parker Posey and Toni Colette!) then i recommend it.
There aren't a lot of actresses who you can believe as a child trapped in an adults body, but Kemper always convinces me of it. That it can be played effectively for both comedy and drama is very impressive.
I assume the worst of what happened in the bunker too, in fact I think most people, even in-universe, would. The happy place stuff, her reaction to Dong and the marriage to the reverend make the conclusion terrible but reasonable.
It would be even better if the flashback were in the clerk's head and then they said "yeah it was her". I just love that running joke so much.
I'd be cool with seeing either of them next season (preferably Kymmi since i thought that their interactions were interesting), but whichever appears needs character development along with it. the most jarring thing about Xan's appearance is that there wasn't a lot of growth for her or her relationship with Kimmy.
Yeah I thought Marcia Cross would have been great, but my image of her mother was very different to what the writers went with in this episode. Kudrow was perfectly cast.
It feels very real, and i wouldn't be surprised if this was exactly what Lori-Ann was like to her as a kid as well.
Russ's family were far too good a representation of rich-guy douchery. Some of their lines went straight from satire into 'oh god they would literally say that'.
Why do these people have to have lives outside of giving us this wonderful show?
Those flashes and Kimmy's rant were so satisfying in terms of emotional pay off. The first time i watched it I felt a whole lot of sadness for both characters. The second time, knowing it was just in her imagination, had me appreciating her emotional growth. And the third time my thoughts were: If Ellie Kemper isn't…
I rewatched that college humour video she was in (was it just called 'blowjob'?) And that was just weird and disturbing after having only just finished UKS's second season. Still funny though.
He's such a fantastic fit for this show and Titus. I hope that this leads to him getting bigger roles to show his range.
It's pretty horrible to think about something like that happening to anyone, but because we have so much affection for Kimmy the idea of her being raped feels gut-wrenchingly wrong.
This arc is the best showcase for her since 30 Rock ended.
In Astro City Samaritan is a good representation of how depressed or rundown a person can get when they constantly must save lives. In Superman Returns a point about how much suffering he hears everyday is made, too. I think the character has a whole lot of potential to be interesting, but I think there are few…
I assume some Smurf logic will be in order.
She references Bambi in either the next episode or the one after it, so Kimmy's 'Happy Place' resembling that era of Disney seems pretty much spot on.
Her wish for the city to not change, and a few of her non-sequiters that probably make sense if you know her history pretty well, reminds me a lot of my Nanna who once told me that she "knows the guy who owns the adult store down the road and he plays *x amount* for foxtel" (that'sAustralian for cable).
I would never watch something just because he's in it but I've enjoyed enough of his work to say a resounding 'god damn it'.
