His problem is the problem of what I'm sure are many writers, I can especially think of comic book examples, where the idea is there but they need someone else to hold the leash. That's what he had with the original trilogy (more or less) and what is sorely lacking in the prequels.

I haven't watched a John Wayne movie in a long time (more of an Eastwood type) but Lucas is nuts if he thinks all Wayne characters are the good guys (or always do good things). In The Searchers he shoots a dead Indians eyes out so they can never go to the afterlife.

I agree, Sherlock's 'mind palace' was not something I needed to see nor did I think it worked onscreen. I think I found it less grating here because the setting of these scenes has an emotional connection to the man himself, a connection the audience shares, so its inclusion wasn't as irksome to me. YMMV and all that,

I love Capaldi (more so than Smith who I couldn't really get into) and although I don't think Moffat is a bad writer I do think he has certain traits that annoy me. His love of plot hole inducing revelations is a biggie. But I haven't had that complaint in 8 or 9.

HE WAS MEAN TO JEWEL STAITE?! WHERE IS HE?

I basically laugh every time I see Chyler Leigh due to my long love of Not Another Teen Movie so if the show wants to give me an in universe reason to giggle I'm all for it.

True, hopefully it will be like what happened with Constantine. The idea of such a casting success being wasted is just awful.

I'm a fairly recent fan (I got into both shows about a year and a half ago) and have rewatched enough of it to say: season 6 has severe tonal problems but every episode has some significance to characters or storylines. Season 7 on the other hand has stretches where literally nothing happens and could have been 13

I'm a season 6 apologist myself, season 7 is fair game mostly though.

You should here me talking about Angel season 4 and…
….
End of list.

I certainly hope so, i'm really enjoying the show but i can't see it getting renewed without some improvements. No matter the future of the show I hope that Benoist will still appear as the character in other DC shows

How about music Meister causing havoc on all the DC shows? These people could cast a whole musical between these shows.

Totally, I was actually just thinking that today

I think my only casting gripe is Jimmy who just doesn't look comfortable at all in the role. The other characters just need better writing, which i think is steadily improving anyway.

I actually really enjoyed this one. It still has a long way to go but I can see things coming together a lot for this show. Cat not realising that Kara is Supergirl is beyond ridiculous though, I really can't see it getting explained away with confidence and posture since Benoist doesn't really put much distance

Oh i agree wholeheartedly on that last point. I'd have loved for 19th Century Clara to have been a long term companion instead. It would have been a nice change.

I don't like a lot of how Moffat handles the story arcs in Who (which might be why I've liked this season so far with the two parters), so as far as i'm concerned the worst episodes in his run in terms of writing are "Let's Kill Hitler" and "The Name of The Doctor". Which are too concerned with clever exposition to be

This is the real question
Also is she a total crazy person in it? Crazy Kate Winslet is the best Kate Winslet

You stop that

I think Bryan Singer was planning a Logan's Run remake. Really, I just think that's a story that desperately deserves another shot. In Time is quite similar to it though.
