I have a massive soft spot for Sky Captain, but then i'm a big fan of the movies it's homaging (or ripping off if you want to be less kind). I hated the colour grading though, it looks far better in black and white

I think it says a lot that i'll sometimes see my Nanna watching the Bold and The Beautiful and upon seeing an actress who bore a striking resemblance to Moore i simply immediately accepted that Demi Moore was doing soaps now.

It probably shows how little i care about the anointed one that i forgot his introductory episode! I think "Witch" was the first buffy episode to make an impression on me so i've always had a bit of nostalgia for it even though it isn't amazing

I can't stand when they shoehorn scenes like that in, but it was an absolute reprieve from that dire episode

I love that Anya would rather the song be from a more economically viable genre of music

I actually had a conversation about this exact thing last night where a person criticised the bum note on "heaven" which, although SMG isn't a brilliant singer, she could have hit perfectly well if that were the aim. But it wouldnt be such a powerful moment if it were 'pretty'. it's the nuance the actors bring to

It's interesting to me that you chose "never kill a boy on the first date", is it important and ive merely forgotten or just a personal favourite? I went with "Witch" when I streamlined season 1 to introduce the show to someone.I think because I love the callback in season 2 and Amy's actress (name escapes me right

She nailed that role. And i think now that Genesys and Salvation exist it is very clear that T:TSCC was doing a much better job with the universe than anyone could have predicted (and Lena Headey was great)

I found that i preferred how they did V for Vendetta ending in the movie. maybe i just don't connect with how Moore wraps up stories

That show used music very well quite a few times. Shirley Manson sang Samson and Delilah for season 2's opening scene and it was one of my favourite parts of a show i was already enjoying a lot.
The best use of a Cash song remains Person of Interest in my opinion. Now that show has taste and instinct for song/imagery

Unlike that time she fucked the rock out of them which may have been a nonsense dream i had.

Chyler Leigh. She's on Supergirl right now I think.

I… um… wouldn't know… *backs away*

Honestly, the ending of the show was so homoerotic i actually misremember them as kissing and then going over the edge.

As an English major this sentence offends me on a personal level.

Bastard Out Of Carolina. Not because it was scary, it's just horribly realistic.

My mother loves it too, but being quite the sci-fi/fantasy lover she gets most of the jokes about that stuff (which is basically most of the show now), but i was kind of offended when she said that TBBT brought attention to Firefly and that's why people were talking about it more.

Really funny series!

It is probably hard for some shows to have actual asexual characters since it means they have t write a convincing romance instead of relying on sexual innuendos. not that those are bad in themselves but they wouldn't really make sense for an ace character.
