It’s still pretty fair to say that without government financing/intervention, neither Tesla nor SpaceX would be viable businesses today. Meanwhile, if the gov’t yanked its funding from NPR, they’d likely be just fine.

And yet, NPR posts plenty of articles critical of the government, and has always had editorial independence from any government agency.  To suggest otherwise is just more tinfoil hat bullshit, kind of like what Musk readily dives into on Twitter now...
