Worse than that, the movie has been recast to star Chip and Joanna Gaines, and the new plot is they travel to China and do a big reno on the local soccer stadium, covering everything in ship-lap. hijinks ensue, roll credits

Can confirm, I used LA Brea every day for years to get to Hollywood from the south bay. that downhill section just north of slauson is quite steep, and it opens way up from the top of the hill there so that regular cars can be pretty much hauling ass when they hit that intersection...

You don’t work in finance, i bet

and a slew of other progressive artists in the industry

I mean, aside from berating and treating that poor kid like crap, WTF is going on with that squad car?  It was loaded with garbage and a vape pen??? are officers allowed to vape on the job?

This. Especially when it comes to video production. I’m not a big Premiere user, but it’s pretty good, and the big, BIG plus is After Effects, which is basically unrivaled at that price point.

Maybe I’m missing something here, but how are “anime music videos” and “music videos inspired by anime” different- when something like “Shelter” was literally produced by A-1 pictures? there’s nothing ‘inspired by anime’ in that video, it is anime...

I have an interesting story about a Discovery show I worked on. It was for a new series, tentatively called ‘The Farm’. It was pitched as Duck Dynasty-meets-David Lynch. ERMAGHERD THE TRAILER IS JUST GETTING ROASTED!!!

I mean, everyone comes across shitty in this situation (except of course for the victims.. so awful), but to be fair to the city, do you really think revoking that shithead’s license would’ve stopped him from driving?

Reporter lady in the clip: “That single engine plane... ...remained mostly intact.”

Greenlit. Here’s $80mm, hire a crew and go to town on that b#tch

Honestly I’m shocked that somehow 15 million Quest 2s have been sold. Who on earth are buying these things? If anything, I get the impression that they’re bought as novelties, enjoyed for a month or two, and then boxed back up and thrown in the closet.

Filmmakers navel-gazing is tricky. It doesn’t always land... Tropic Thunder did it well, also The Player... But there’s so much else that’s just way too inside baseball type of stuff. Ultimately it seems like Hollywood continually forgets that most people don’t give a shit about Hollywood.

I had a buddy with whom I worked for years. A genuinely nice, interesting guy. He was kinda into the street racing scene in LA. I thought it was kinda cool. Then this happened:
