“Pickle Rick” was also horrible.

I’m going to work on the thesis to this later, but let me just say that while I understand that harmon and roiland don’t like the sexist fans they’ve attracted, which is understandable, no one does, the show, knowingly or not, does a lot to attract and feed such fans. From its themes, to how the characters are

This season was pretty good, but at the same time it felt a tad bit weaker than the previous two. I kinda agree with you in that I’m a little worried that the show has peaked, and might start to decline soon. A similar thing happened with another Harmon show “Community”; it peaked around the third season and was never

This has been a weird season of Rick and Morty. On the one hand, I’ve REALLY loved a lot of it; hell, on an episode to episode basis, it might be the best season. But as my (far more discussed than I thought it would be) post from last week posited, I’ve started to have some weird hangups in the last few weeks. And I

So the season opener is Rick being an unstoppable badass, in order to topple the government and Jerry, replacing them both as the de facto patriarch of Morty’s universe and his family. And the season closer is Rick being an unstoppable badass, but instead of toppling the government he winds up subordinating himself

I’ll give you the Ricklantis Mixup, which is a genuinely superb episode of television, plus maybe the first episode and the Jerry/Rick episode as solid outings. But this season kinda sucked. Last week’s episode was genuinely the worst of the entire show - Rick and Beth’s ‘heart-to-heart’ bit was like fourth-rate

When Fringe was on, me got it into head that producers could make terrific Star Trek show, and now me get to watch that very thing!

The creature definitely reminded me of something from that show.

Aha, you’ve solved it! That must be why Spock never mentioned her! He never forgave her for swiping his book!

Denis Villenueve has more than earned it at this point, but 2 hours and 44 minutes? Goddammit!

Hold on, you’re saying this is trash? A Mark Millar based film?

One, Mike Judge needs to be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine. Two, whenever Mike Judge is not onscreen, all the other characters should be asking ‘Where’s Mike Judge?

Everytime I visit AV Club, I think, “Boy, I sure wish there’d be an article about Mike Judge, like, right at the top of whatever I’m trying to read. Like, right in my fucking face constantly. Every time.”

Very interesting but does anybody know where I can find an illustrated timeline of why Mike Judge is king of the pop-culture hill?

Alright, I’ve been dying to bring this up here since I spent way too long researching this yesterday after my rewatch of the series.

It’s rare a show hits me in the feels and literally said “goddamnit” when i choked up a little during that end part. As mixed as I felt during this season it had enough strong stuff coursing thru it to make it a winner. Every year I have my doubts that they can wring anything new from this series and hopefully Season

I’m hopeful the sibling relationship will keep him from going down any super dark paths - Hollyhock is willing to give him a shot and it seems she right away won’t put up with much. I’d be happy to see this swing upward, not all sunshine and rainbows, but enough for him to get out of his gutter.

Agreed, this show has destroyed me but that smile at the end is only time I have teared up watching this show.

Just *reading* about that ending makes me tear up. What a knockout ending!

Yes, hilarious and insidious, which R&M do week after week. Yes, will reward careful and studious rewatching for details I’m sure we all missed initially. But at the risk of becoming a stickler-meeseeks about letter grades...how many more A’s can this season warrant? Maybe grading on a curve is necessary here. This
