I'm a big Ghost fan, and I think the new album is fantastic.  The songs are much more mature and they explore a much wider range of atmospheres and styles.  The vocals are much better and more interesting, and I just think it's a better album overall.

I've been rewatching Star Trek: The Next Generation, and I think it's a perfect example of a balanced approach.  Aside from some very serial plotlines towards the end of the run, the show struck a perfect balance between "one and done" and serial.  There were some loose plotlines and continuing threads that stretched
