Exactly, this is the big issue with “avoidable” microtransactions unless they’re completely cosmetic. Their existence will cause developers to make things harder to get through normal gameplay to influence you to spend more.

Can we finish this one in 30 minutes just by waiting?

My main question regarding this game is the online co-op, can you play the entirety of the story with a friend? Or is it slightly different then single player?

It may be too early to tell, but do you have a sense of how easy/difficult it is to get silver bars? One of the problems with “avoidable” microtransactions is when they are nonetheless effectively necessary because the game makes it unreasonably difficult to get the item otherwise.

I’ve played every Far Cry game and I’m a big fan of the series. But I’ve got to say I’m glad that they’re updating some of the gameplay aspects. In general I think “if it aint broke don’t fix it”, and I dont think the gameplay in Far Cry is broken. But it will be a lot of fun to have a new game built on the same…

Was and still is a very fun game. All the negativity was extremely overdone by the media & general public. I unlocked every character and ship and leveled all 4 classes and most of the heroes and ships to a decent level before hitting level 30 out of 50.

That being said, the new progression system is nice. I don’t know…

Yeah, I don’t know where they got these inflated times for unlocking stuff. I suck really bad at MP and it didn’t take very long for me to unlock Luke and Vader. One of players’ biggest complaints since before the game was even officially out was how hard it was to unlock iconic characters like Luke Skywalker or Darth Vader.

What are you talking about? There weren’t 25 characters to unlock. There were like 8-10. And they adjusted the price for unlocking each character before the game even released so you could unlock them all in just a few hours.

I’ve been loving the game since launch, and just through regular playing I’ve unlocked most of the content already.

Eh, the unlocking mechanic wasn’t that big of a hassle though. You get plenty of credits from the start if you play through the single-player game. I was able to unlock every hero and hero ship by the time I hit rank 10, so maybe like 10-15 hours of game time.
