They made a Prius and you can’r respect them? Dude, I know you are on Jalopnik, and Prius hating is a thing here, but that’s just silly.

Yeah, keeping up with the maintenance cost of a 7 year old twin turbo BMW will start getting really old really soon. Sell the BMW - it is still worth a pretty penny, right - take the profits and buy a new Tacoma, and you can be buried in it. I am just not sure I’d be buying a TRD PRO - all you need is a truck to…
I am sure I’ll love it in person. It is not a bad looking car - maybe it is the fact that there really hasn’t been a large wagon on this side of the pond in a while and I just forgot how they are supposed to look. This is how I imagine a modern Buick RoadMaster could look - RWD proportions, long hood and a ton of…
Used TRD pro will depreciate so slowly, it might make no sense to buy used, have no warranty, and pay within 15% of new
I’ve read this before - just a copy paste job, but impressive stats nonetheless
That grill and those headlights are comically oversized for that truck. It looks much better in the concept Warrior guise to me.
Agreed. I am tempted to get a the cheapest V6 4 door tacoma and upgrade it down the road, but I am lazy, I like OEM and warranty, so I don’t think it’ll ever happen.
My FIL has a Fit. You can do a lot of shit with it, but what you can’t - and the other poster already replied and agreed with me - is fit two St Bernards behind the second row of seats, comfortably. Now, with the second row down, sure, you can fit two of them, but them you are limited to two passengers.
I can see that, but it is not quite an apples to apples comparison. You are picking the parts you want, leaving over the parts you don’t want, it kind of makes sense it is cheaper that way.
Hm, are you sure about that?On the new one, only way to get a locking diff is on TRD Off Road model. That one is minimum 35k with a double bed, 4x4, V6 and Auto. Presuming that new one is going to run a bit over 40, I doubt that you’d be able to get the wheels, tires, suspension, armor, grille, bumper, trd interior…
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
Quicksand is more tan than brown, but yeah ;)
Some people are just happy with a factory build rig with full warranty - I know I would be.
Only if I divorced my wife...she was the spendy one, and now that I have her trained, all she wants is to pay off her loans and our house as soon as possible, which means my toy is a $15k Abarth, and my dog transporter/winter car/mountain toy will probably not be a fully customized 4Runner :)
That can be said for just about anything, but I’d like a car that I can actually use on the roads, and occasionally go off the beaten path with.
Well, if that is all I wanted, they would fit in my 500 Abarth Convertible :)
In all honesty, how much do you think it would cost you to buy the TRD wheels, those tires, a lift kit (I know it is only an inch but still) with all the shocks and springs, custom grill, I think slightly different bumper, fog lights, leather seats, floor mats and I must be forgetting something - but you get the…
I like it - I’d still get the baby poop Quicksand color instead.
Hot damn that is sweet!! Trail with bunch of goodies - it seems to me you have at least $8k on top of your purchase price in visible aftermarket goodies. Very very nicely done. I am due for a new vehicle in October and 4Runner trail kdds is on top of my list - I just hate the price :)
Hm, see I don't see it as squished at all. Slightly droopy in the back, but now squished and not unproportional
