Probably the chat and cut. In college I missed seeing a sneak preview of “Mean Girls” that I had waited an hour in line for because some people chatted and cut.

I’m still on LD’s side about the nickname thing. If you have a cutesy little name that your close ones call you, I consider that a pet name, and I expect a sing-song-y voice to accompany it every time it’s uttered. Because if I’ve just met you and see someone call you by your nickname, how am I supposed to know what

Not since the great purge, before the dark times

Madame Web is much more a Shock Treatment than a Rocky Horror Picture Show.

Venom was campy but Madame Web definitely not. Why can’t Sony made a spin off of character from Spider-man into/across the Spiderverse instead of this garbage.

For real. These neckbeards are insane.

It’s comedy. Not horror.

So, she’s an idiot

Well damn, here I thought they were making a movie for free!

But whether through a genuinely subversive vision, weaponized incompetence, or just sheer dumb luck

And with that glorious sentence completed, the author set down their pencil and imagined Miss Shields writingA+ A+ A+ A+ A+ A+...’ on the chalkboard.

It is so weird that a certain percentage of fans will freak out about casting a beautiful woman in a comic book movie.

So where does that leave us? How do we connect an unintentional corporate satire, a slice of naïve camp, a technically disastrous piece of shit, and an illogically fun superhero movie? With a web, of course—one that can connect them all.

We know that Sony has the resources to make not Spider-Man Spidey movies. We know they can make them bad. Do they have the moxie to make the sure fire lollapalooza that a Turner D. Century production would be?

Trying to hold this up as “camp” always seemed like try hard. It’s lazy, uninspired, and just outright poorly made in a lot of spots. Camp requires intentionality. It’s okay to enjoy shitty things without needing to justify it, that’s why McDonald’s is still in business.

This kind of discounts how it is exactly like other bad movies.  Poor writing, zero common sense, bland characters, etc. etc.

Now that Knowhere and The Eternals have put cosmic giants squarely in MCU canon, I think we’re safe.

Won't Trent.

Danzig as Wolverine predates the internet. Wizard Magazine was pushing for that casting since the early ‘90s. And yes it would have been perfect at the time, but that was 30 years ago and holy hell…Glenn Danzig is the same age as my dad.

Will Trent what?
