R.A.D. was also developed by Sandlot, using the same (or an earlier version) engine that was used for Global Defense Force, one of the precursors to Earth Defense Force. It had much of the same environment destructability as GDF and the later EDF games.
Control was almost directly analogous to Pacific Rim-style

Actually the Samus shown there is fantastic. I don't think I'd want a Zero Suit figure.
I like the blaster-on-the-arm, don't-need-to-see-my-face badassness the character encompasses.

Won't be playing the game these are for, but like Luke I'll be getting a couple for my desk most likely.

I adored the SegaCD version. In my opinion the cutscenes were cleaner, being rendered with the sprite/background hardware in the system as opposed to being a compressed FMV.
My Sega CDX actually has trouble with the audio-video sync on it, because I don't have the proper power supply. Nobody freaking carries them with

Actually, Lunar Blue had a fantastic set of cutscenes, and the intro is simply gorgeous.
I actually prefer the SegaCD version to the revamped PSX one, myself. The cutscenes look... cleaner.

These guys have been making RTSs for awhile still.
I had LASW on the iPad and it was a passable stand-in for Total Annihilation on the go.
System requirements are pretty low too for their desktop builds, so people with older machines can still run them fairly well.

The D'Ni novels were *fantastic*. They really fleshed out the universe, and you get to see events and worlds referenced and visited in the later games.

So many times I couldn't hear the person sitting right next to me because the music was just *too* high.

My biggest wish is volume controls for music/FX/voice volume controls.

Southland Tales was a big honking pile of WTF (especially if you didn't read the comics, which covered parts 1-3 of the story), but The Rock was definitely the best part of that movie.
Just amazing.

This is exactly what happened when I played Final Fantasy 7.
The music is good, but nearly *too* good. I seriously found myself distracted from the game entirely at times.
It's part of why I never finished it. Too much trouble to stay focused on the game over the music.

Osaka Simulator was a fun little toy for awhile.

It's all about MVS conversion, baby!
You can snag them on ebay for fairly cheap, just gotta rig up a harness and get an RGB video convertor if you don't have a monitor that'll take it.
I snagged a 4-slot on ebay for $50ish, it has stereo audio output and neogeo controller ports on board already - didn't have to wire

Daaaaaaaaammit.

It was the best Metroid game since Shadow Complex.

They already killed support in Doom 3 BFG edition, so I think no.

My gf had an old transparent DMG-01 brick that was her bathroom console, until the screen's LCD cells started leaking into each other... nice little black splotch on the screen.
It's currently in the process of having GBA SP internals stuffed into it, wired permanently to GBC mode, keeping all original switches and

Lone Surviver practically *is* 2D Silent Hill.
Even nods to it with a few of the sound effects.

Sooooo... it looks like From Dust meets SimCity.
This is probably the best thing.

We love this show. Need moar.

That's actually refreshing to hear.
I really liked Railgun, but the fanservice (especially in the beginning) was a bit much.
