Jake - Has Bad Luck So You Don't Have To

I have a 911 that is more than 50 years old, and not very well kept.

For as long as I can remember a main draw of Miatas, Corvettes, and Porsches is that they are generally reliable and low headache ownership experiences compared to some of their competitors.

Good Lord, what would the recommended services cost to get a McLaren to 100k miles?

Most of them straight up don’t hold up. Most exotics with over 50k miles on them are rattling more than my 2000 Honda with 190k and have more tears in the seat.

Yes, that’s the part that’s being overlooked. As a Saab owner I see the occasional Turbo X or Viggen go for double KBB—or more—because it’s a rare configuration or simply rare period.

Yup, I’m here for this. 10k seems reasonable, if it hasn’t been hooned excessively.

Eh. That line doesn’t bother me because KBB has always been wrong on my own cars. 2005 RX-8 blue booked for $4,500 in 2014 and I sold it for $9k. Even my Chevy Sonic RS manual went for $2k above blue book. Just because the masses don’t care about the A package or whatever, you know there is a Honda David Tracy out

Legally and safely are not the same thing.

Ah, that’s a no-brainer then.

Six: I don’t like the way my cam looks. Has some pitting on the lobes. Would probably last a while as is, but a stock cam isn’t absurdly expensive. I think I paid $100-ish with new bearings.

Hone and send.

Lately I have to refresh every page to get the comments to load for some reason.  I’m running AdBlock on Chrome.

That is the most lukewarm take in history.

As has already been pointed out by so many actually knowledgeable others, Westbrook is a fucking idiot and snarky too, like most ignorant bloggers are nowadays. Gotta love how he notes all the negatives, misrepresents what are actually positives and then totally fails to even mention the times where Ford volunteered

Wow, Justin it sounds like you have some real hate issues with Han Solo or are just totally clueless about aviation. As a pilot let me be the first to tell you that if in 50 years of flying these are his only mishaps he’s a great pilot. YOU must have zero idea how much work is involved in piloting an aircraft. And how

Look. I like Jalopnik, and most of the authors. But none of you are pilots, as far as I can tell, and it really shows.

You know how many times I’ve seen people cross the active when they’re not supposed to, especially at municipal airports? How many times I’ve misheard ATC and been corrected by my co-pilot, or vice

Bicycles are permitted, even required, to be on the roads in most urban settings. It is the responsibility of car drivers to share the road with them. Yes, some riders ignore traffic signals but by and large most cyclists don’t die because they ran a stop sign and got hit by a car. Usually they get run over while

My car is lowered. I swapped to stiffer springs and matching shocks, and corrected all the rear end geometry. I also have a much stiffer rear sway bar.

This car is a real problem, because the C2 is one of the gorgeousest cars ever made, and this take is very different but equally beautiful - so I’ll have to get one of both, and I can’t really afford that.

BT wouldn’t really be for talking in an old sports car, it’s so you can link your phone to the stereo for the sake of blasting sweet jams. I personally enjoy having The Budos Band join me when on a nice mountain road.
