Jake - Has Bad Luck So You Don't Have To

“Polarizing” and “taking risks” doesn’t necessarily mean “good”. Design is largely subjective, but there are, in fact, rules to this sort of thing. The overall shape of the car is fine, elegant even, but there’s a lot happening at that front end, and most of it doesn’t go together.

2016 Sonata - Clean lines, tasteful, refined, stylish without being overdone.

In all seriousness, when did you last get your eyes checked? That front end with the comically huge maw with those anglerfish lights is horrendous. This is coming from a transportation designer who knows the struggle of clueless marketing people and committees having a say in how your product looks but... There is

That lead image was the best one to lead the charge for sedans huh?  God help us all.

I don’t know. My commute distance is like 5 miles or less each way and I end up parking in a big open parking lot in the middle of west Texas sun most of the year. Something like this would work. I don’t think I would even need a charging station at home.

I’m in this camp. it’s data... designing to data is smart. demographics exist regardless of and/or independent of prevailing social dialog.

Generally speaking, whenever a car is aimed at a specific demographic, it fails entirely and attract to opposite.

I would imagine the car was totaled as well?

Glad the wife was okay. Sorry about the car, it was a looker.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Glad your wife is OK. That crash looks serious.

That blows, but I’m not surprised at the insurance company’s behavior.

I’ll have to keep an eye out for some of those.  Sorry to hear about the loss of the car. Hopefully, you were able to find a reasonable replacement.

“This year, armed with nothing but an angle grinder and a HF welder, I will be fitting an array of six Homelite string trimmer engines in this dilapidated Jeep Scrambler and driving from Troy, MI to Moab.”

The big difference is that there’s actual enforced laws for autos. Yeah, they do their fair share of bad, too! No one’s a saint. But should you try parking your car on an access ramp for the sidewalk for any length of time, it probably won’t end well.

6" is pretty high. There are some stock cars which couldn’t clear that.

Keep the Element.

Uggg why recommend the shitty ram/fiat when they could get a transit connect? I guess its similar to the flex, but still.

That’s such a misleading statement. That takes into account old cars which are far more likely to catch fire. Also, when a gasoline car catches on fire, it’s usually a slow burn in the engine bay that is easily escapable. In a Tesla, it goes from 0-100 pretty quickly and can be much more dangerous. I’d like to see how

I bought one... before the wacked it with the ugly stick
