Oof, the screenshot genuinely gave me a “is it April 1st?” moment. This looks terrible; what a waste of horsepower. Tailor-made for everyone who thinks Bluepoint remakes “just look better”.

Haha, got it. Thanks!
“While the test kit appears almost identical to retail PlayStation 5 models ... images of the dev kit highlight the unique V-shaped construction used in pre-release patents.”

I think that enabling torture at a policy level puts you several levels beyond “apologist”
Consistently great writer - godspeed, Ash.
I appreciate the tip! That was the last place I went before admitting defeat, I think. The place filling up with sand? I’d already found the escape pod on Brittle Hollow, so it was the second I’d seen. I got some interesting hints as to what might be up, but too many frustrating loops with little to no reward. Maybe…
I’m in the exact same boat (with Outer Wilds, haven’t gotten to Hades yet). It can be very atmospheric, but I just didn’t get anything out of the moment-to-moment gameplay that made me want to stick with it, much as I tried. Maybe if I liked the art more? It’s still on my PS4, and I feel bad whenever I see it.
Can you fly, Bobby?
Yeah, way too much padding in that game for me to agree it’s adequately designed for 100% completion. I’d say Respawn have a better claim to this headline, even if I’ll never git gud enough to get the Master difficulty or time trial trophies in Titanfall 2.
My obligatory comment that you can’t play the Xbox versions of Halo and Halo 2 on anything newer than a 360.
Yes, I agree that the communications director probably does more than run the twitter. Still don't see what they'd need to do on their day off in response to a hack.
Definitely not repping the hackers here, but why did the hack mean a communications director was called in on his day off?
People talk about the sequels, but an underrated blot on The Matrix’s legacy is all the home video art. Look at that thing.

Hmm, hadn’t noticed that - well spotted. Kinda annoying - I occasionally use that port to charge my pro controller while playing (my dock’s in a position that puts the other two too far away).
“maybe the reason they haven’t confirmed its existence is because it doesn’t exist”
I'd love to, I don't have either! Though I hadn't thought about Xbox BC, that's another one in the pro column for them...
As someone who missed the series first time out (aside from the excellent demo), I want to say: also bummer. I was looking forward to getting another chance to play the original - seems like everyone loses out with a remake. It’s hard to see what advances in fidelity have to offer a game as recent as this.
I’m frequently puzzled by the lack of computer graphics literacy in modern video games writing. I don’t have the technical vocabulary for why the logo is immediately identifiable as a realtime 3D model, but my god! There's 2D text to compare it to directly beneath!
