I’ve just had a quick look at their Elden Ring coverage and it’s immediately way more promising

you weren’t kidding

Kotaku seems to have changed a lot. Not sure where to go instead for gaming news though.

What the fuck? Why is this one of the first thing you see when you look up “Elden Ring” on Google. The game isn’t even out yet, stop spoiling shit for fuck’s sake.

What the dissenters fail to mention is that the article doesn’t even say Patches by name until AFTER their spoiler warning in the article. So even the author seems to acknowledge that the presence of Patches is a spoiler for the game. However, any moderate fan of Soulsborne titles will know EXACTLY who they are

Giant sigh from me. Discovering Patches naturally would’ve been a REALLY rad moment. Now it won’t probably be. Or it will definitely be lessened, anyway.

That’s cool! I would’ve loved to have discovered this as I was playing the game when it releases.

patches isn’t in sekiro. please shut the fuck up

Bandai Namco seems to disagree, as he was mentioned in their NDA as someone who absolutely shouldn’t be named in the recent preview batch.

but like why spoil this with a headline and image?

Funny how Moonlight wasn’t in Bloodborne until the DLC, which is not base game as Elden Ring is, so no I don’t have expectations again because I don’t think any of that is owed to us or lends anything to making the games great. None of the individual elements like this are what make those games what they are. Speaking

Perspective. I have 4000 hours of souls game experience. I still wouldn’t expect anything from a From software game other than it being a fantastic world to explore. Don’t presume anything. Expect better from the people who write headlines.

This would have been fine if not for the headline which says too much. Wasn’t a lot to ask but OMG people are just rude when they don’t agree with someone.

You have a spoiler warning and section but the main picture for the article gives it away, so someone gets spoilers without even clicking to read.

Except he’s not in every game. He wasn’t in Dark Souls 2 or Sekiro. Letting us discover him for ourselves would’ve been nice, but nope, gotta get them clicks.

From asks politely to be mindful of posting spoilers and you guys do this shit.

Why would you post this? You know this headline is a spoiler. I have been avoiding all Elden Ring info and not even watching trailers so I can see everything with fresh eyes and I come here and see this headline. This is a bad move. I know you want clicks but this is just disappointing.

Why share the wealth when you can just create fancy accounting rules and keep most of it for yourself. Even George Lucas played that game. Dave Prowse publicly outed him when discussing his paltry Darth Vader royalties for the OT and discovering that it was due to none of the movies having yet made a profit.

He’s a rich white dude with connections. He probably watches human sacrifices with his buds for a laugh.

Now playing

And the theme still holds up today as well. The vocals are good, but the recurring instrumental theme is really timeless and screams Mirror’s Edge, every time I hear.
