I am with you, fuck crossovers!

If you’d prefer that in glyphs you can visually see and then translate into language via your eyes and brain, a process known as “reading,””

Because while I’m certainly a bad ass driver......even I still have to consider reaction time and stopping distance, you know, the thing they teach in driver’s ed. If I leave appropriate space, it’s not an invitation for someone to slide into the gap.

This?

The auto-dimming high-beams on my wife’s Lexus ES300h sound like a neat idea, but in practice they are completely useless, brightening and dimming at completely random times... and mostly staying dim when you’re on an empty, winding, rural back-road.

My experience has been the opposite. I’ve had now...uh, four cars with speed-sensitive volume. Keeps me from fiddling with the volume all the time. Maybe it’s just the vehicles you’ve experienced this on?

Jezebel is next? Are you saying it hasn’t been gutted? I think all the current writers are recent additions, who post almost nothing at night and on weekends, and they seem to have stopped doing SNS (which probably has  been around longer than the cumulative tenure of their writers).

What car did you have that it was terrible in?  I’ve had it in a few cars and never really notice it.  Currently its set to medium and works as intended.  I also kinda thought every car had this now.

They’re getting better with the voice stuff though. My A4 is pretty useful in the scenarios where I can only use voice command (like now, when it’s -15 degrees and I refuse to take my insanely thick insulated gloves off to use the touch screen).

Most luxury automakers just have the presets attached to a key. If it’s key 1, then it’s user 1, so it sets user 1's presets. Seems like Subaru found a way to fuck up something that had already been figured out (and they certainly are not alone in that regard).

WHAT!? Strong disagree. I love that in every car I have. 100% it needs to have sensitivity adjustment available, and most do, but every time I get in a car that doesn’t have it I have to crank the music on the highway and then get my ears blown out when I get off. Though that might be because I drive shitboxes....

For anyone wondering what in the hell happened to/at The Root:

In the few automatic transmission cars I have had with the ability to tap up and down gears. I just do not bother. I have set in in 1 or 2 off road on occasion but it just seems that the transmissions do fine on the highway without me telling the auto what gear to go into. I have not owned a car with paddle shifters

This is how I feel about Taylor Swift too. Her songs are good. Am I a Swiftie? Nope, but I can objectively recognize that she has talent.

Happened to me, too. destroyed my credit for a few years (not the full 7, was able to get my score over 800 after 4-5 years of making payments), garnished my tax refund, and I had to work with a student loan collection agency to even get back on track. It was supposedly income based and I had to scrape a ton of money

I think she’s just trying to avoid those shriek talking fans in the video. Yikes.

Just give him some time to prove himself.

Free electricity to all through large towers spaced out around the US. Good times. Also, the AC/DC war and public battles, which ironically lead to the invention of the electric chair.
