Yes, I think the biggest problem is that the federal government is running into serious blockades to what it can do because of state willingness or outright interference. They can say “here’s more money for testing sites” but the Republican governor will say “no, more testing means more positive cases, no thanks.”

There are literally already federal resources for finding testing sites. I don’t know if you miss Trump or something, but believe it or not, most people would prefer if their president’s primary form of communication wasn’t Twitter

I’m not sure it could keep track of them all considering how differently testing is handled at the state and local levels. Health departments, pharmacies, labs, pop-ups...

Anyone who uses Twitter as their primary source of news and important information from the government is missing a whole lot of information. They should try one of the newspapers of record or the website of the government agency in charge of whatever it is they’re interested in.

You do realize that mailing out tests isn’t easy, right? It was -40F in my community the other day. It’s warmed up to -12F. We also had a massive snow storm and many people had their mailboxes buried for nearly a week. This is typical for us. Do these tests withstand freezing? Do you know? No, you don’t.
