Dude, it’s not that can’t elaborate - it’s that he doesn’t fucking need to.

I believe Mr. Bellwood is from the UK, where “rammed” is often used to mean packed or crowded.
The entire purpose of a bicycle is that it’s something you use because you can’t afford a car.
flash the oncoming car. They will then turn off their brights. Unless they are dum-dums also.
Thank you! You just made me $100.
While I appreciate your learned legal opinion, whether or not you think anyone should be charged is immaterial, and whether or not prosecutors are busy is completely beside the point. My point was that people are charged with criminal negligence all the time in the US for much less serious things; your original…
“Being stupid” is definitely illegal when it meets the definition of either recklessness or criminal negligence, either of which will eliminate any need to show intent.
But...but...
Is it me or does the result look kind of...blotchy? The camera doesn’t linger long enough in the “final reveal” segment to get a really good look. I guess if the gold plating faithfully mimics the base material, I suppose there’s no way to get a perfectly even finish, but it kind of ruins the effect for me.
Smith didn’t blame his reckless driving on some mysterious invisible hand controlling his accelerator
Yeah, that’s what I was wondering. It doesn’t seem fair to blame buyers without looking into what it might cost them to get a more interesting colour. I’m certainly not destitute, but colour would probably be the last thing I would consider spending extra money on when buying a car.

Has anyone done research into what we might expect in terms of availability and price of gasoline in the next 30 years or so? (Full disclosure: I’m sure someone has, but I can’t be arsed to go looking for it myself right now.) That is, if someone buys a nice ICE car in the next few years, can they expect to have to…
Signing up for the free option does create a new account, so I assume all the stuff associated with my existing one is gone (at least in the Jezebel context). The commenting system is non-Kinja as well, so no stars or any way to react to comments other than replying. All my old Jez comments still appear in my Kinja…
I have no idea why Jalopnik staff has never proofread what they post.
They were asking for $8 a month or $80 per year. I don’t doubt that it was about the money for a lot of people, but I think for many more it was about losing anonymity. I created a free account this morning, and even posted a comment to test it out. There are still very, very few comments on any of the posts; most…
I was happy when Paste appeared to have “saved” Jezebel, but as you note, there was virtually no commenting going on. I too lost interest pretty quickly. Clearly, very few people wanted to have to pay for a subscription to comment. (Those that did all seemed to be weirdos.) Interesting to hear that commenting is now…
