I don’t see either of these actors being able to capture the fundamental sweetness that candy could bring to his roles and was a critical part of the success of planes. And deus ex 2 had a different directing team (Spector was the emergent narrative guru and he moved to other projects) who were directed by corporate to take deus ex and make it ‘more accessible.’

My recollection was that deus ex was presented not as an FPS but as a role playing game (which it absolutely is.) I cant imagine anyone went into that game expecting unreal
