Give the guy a break. It was the 1960's, it was a different time.

“It’s okay... but can Velma marry a total weirdo sight-unseen?”

Maybe if Scooby and the gang helped a couple in their 30s find a 4-bedroom, 3.5-bath ranch-style home in Perry, Georgia along the way, the movie wouldn’t have been shelved, Dini!

Tina Fey has a thriving production company that cranks out movies, one hit Broadway musical (so far), and TV shows. She writes piles of them, and it makes her millions of dollars a year. She’s not about to stop all that - given that she’s in just as powerful a position as Lorne Michaels at this point - to produce

sources referred to the movie as “irredeemable” after test screenings.

Since it didn’t happen in Hawaii, it’s safe to assume Ezra Miller wasn’t involved?

I think at this point the moment for Fey and Poehler has passed.  (As has Conan O’Brian, my longtime post-Michaels pick.) Meyers maybe, since he’s still part of Lorne’s late-night empire. I would guess they’d go with a Dick Ebersol type, someone with background in tv rather than comedy.

Seth and Tina both seem like good fits. Tina especially seems like a workhorse who doesn’t mind not necessarily being visible all the time. Before his relapse, I thought Mulaney might work too, but he clearly needs to have his hands busy in five pies at once just to keep regular. I’m not really sure how much work

I don’t watch or particularly like SNL these days but I think it should just go on forever.

So this means he’ll be in the mid-credits scene, probably saying something like “Turns out that guy wasn’t really the Flash, so I killed him.”

I used to work in this industry for many, many years. Self employed. worked on the 1st mo-cap concepts and developed (now) industry standard techniques. I got burned out. The money was great, but it was soul-sucking. especially dealing with “corporates” who only cared about their own skin. Worked on TV shows for

There were regular reports of Abe Vigoda’s death for decades, until he finally did die in 2016. His death was first reported in People Magazine in 1982, when they referred to him as “the late Abe Vigoda.” There was even a web site dedicated to his status:

It’s happened plenty of times—among the more interesting ones from Wikipedia were Barbara Bush (when she was known to be in failing health, CNN worked up an obit to publish when it happened, then someone leaked it a couple of days before she died), Marcus Garvey (who had a stroke, had his obit read to him, then had

If Tom Cruise told someone that he was incomparable to Brad Pitt, I would still find that self-aggrandizing and slightly shady towards Pitt. It's not a race issue, it's an egomaniac issue. I like Palmer but holy shit, lady.

That’s great, but Zendaya is indeed famous famous. And yeah, white people like Peele’s movies too. A good movie’s a good movie, and maybe she’ll be a bigger star after Nope. But until now if she’s been doing what she wants to do” then she shouldn’t be salty about someone else having more notoriety.

That Tweet comes off awfully snippy and self aggrandizing though.

I realize that our reading of her intent is subjective, but it’s hard for me to picture someone calling themselves “incomparable” when someone has just compared them to someone else without implicitly denigrating that other person. And not naming names is just standard PR, which is not an especially convincing case,

“As far I can recall, that’s basically just Kanye territory.”

Sounds like Ms Palmer’s ego is writing checks her talent can’t cash.

Looks like we all have a different definition of what “breakout role” means. Was Keke Palmer in Spider-Man without me noticing? The tweet linked says that Euphoria was Zendaya’s breakout role, but maybe that’s because the tweeter in question never saw Spider-Man? I really can’t stress enough how much cultural cachet
