No, they became comedy films in the second one...
Yes it still holds up. Its no Evil Dead 2 but it still holds up.
I know I speak for the entire AV Club when I say we are all SO sorry that you had to find out this way, seeing how close you were. Condolences.
This is the movie that convinced me Cavill should be Archer if they ever make a live-action version. It will go down with Master and Commander and Devil in a Blue Dress in my “how is this not a franchise?” Hall of Fame.
It’s definitely a film that more than a few people will discover in time and wonder why it wasn’t more of a success. Definitely a case of poor timing in terms of release.
Basically, yes. They inherited an agreement to bring the fox movies to HBO after a theatrical run, so they aren’t allowed to just put it up on Disney+. Not 100% sure what the rules are for true VOD and I doubt they’re going to let some other company premiere it without them getting some money out of it.
Bring her into a role opposite Zabka in a Cobra Kai episode: “Just one of the Kais”.
Don't know what to make of this Clausen pickle.
He is a great Obi-Wan, he was just given garbage to work with. Definitely a high point of the prequels.
the COBRA-thon episode is wild, nobody ever believes me that it’s real. i’ve never seen the fast food one, that sounds amazing
Call me when the really wild episodes get added, like the one with Cobra hijacking television broadcasts to host a telethon for themselves, or the one where Cobra hatches a plan to build a nation-wide network of artillery sites by launching a fast food franchise where every restaurant features “decorative” rocket on…
Security, remove this dad.
I think you can ask a hundred people about what’s in that photo and not a single person would remember the crosswalk.
It’s a lot of fun to sit there and watch it - or, at least, parts of it - but it’s more a collection of footage than a movie. Then again, that’s my complaint about Tim Burton a great deal of the time.
Now that you mention it, Trump sounds a lot like the mayor from “Jaws” in all this. Both constantly say it’s not a big deal, everything is fine and going to be better, and you can’t close the beaches/economy because it costs too much money.
This is all reminding me of how the surprise breakout of the 2007-08 writers’ strike was Craig Ferguson, and now I wish he’d jump in and do a WFH late night show while we’re all in lockdown. What’s to stop him? The others are just posting on youtube and so could he. Someone call his agent.
You son of a bitch, I’m in.
He’s history’s greatest dirtbag. France Gall is mentioned up there in passing, but the full story is worth retelling. He wrote a pop song about giving head (thinly disguised as a song about lollipops) and handed it off to a teenage Gall, who sang it up the charts, completely oblivious.
