I agree with the Disney Afternoon stuff. Duck Tales was the rare kids show that didn’t talk down to its audience.

The good thing about the culture shift since this show is that nowadays, Zach and Slater would likely be the villains in a series. And despite his status as the “geek” in the bunch, Screech was actually kind of an asshole (in the series - IRL, another dimension of asshole entirely). 

I worked in the copy room at a law firm a few years ago and we had a framed photo of The Richmeister above the desk, taking his rightful place as the patron saint of people who make copies.

So the two of them are just having a beef.

The problem, however, is that the second episode they pulled was the season finale and the reason wasn’t anything to do with guns — it was because the students attacked the Mayor (who had turned into a giant snake) with crossbows and flamethrowers and then blew up the school. So...not really comparable at all.
