don’t think 0-60 mph in 4.2 seconds is fun?
Selecting auto over manual is not generally an age related issue. I’m a “boomer”, and both me and my wife (missed being a boomer by a couple years, so gen X?) drive manuals. We like manuals. For the “sportiness”. My young adult children, while both having automatics in their cars, have learned to drive stick because…
I see reading comprehension is not your strong point.
Is this satire or are you just completely oblivious?
they encourage people to give up.
just an enclosed golf cart with air conditioning, not a mobility scooter
Counterpoint: Golf carts.
calling the product in the post a mobility scooter is really bending the definition
As a boomer myself (born in 64) it doesn’t really hurt my feelings, it usually makes me laugh when people/kids/idiots say “ok boomer” in my presence (usually it’s my own kids saying it) because I am just as capable to toss out snide or demeaning generationally reductive commentary on other people too.
Born in 64, I’m as young as Boomers get, and I can’t even begin to understand why this product would be marketed to my generation. Generally speaking, able bodied people under 75 (the top of the Boomer crowd) do NOT USE FUCKING MOBILITY SCOOTERS at all. Only handicapped people use them, so this is NOT a boomer product…
I no longer go to Starbux or similar cafes. They’re always crowded, and the noise is unbelievable. With the shitty “music” blasting out of their LOW-fi 10 point surround sound system and the constant 98 decibel steam machines, I can’t hear the server asking for my order, I can’t hear them call my name when the drink…
Alternate take: it’s not “stanced”, it’s not “slammed” ... it’s a lowrider.
Not sure on what you think accepting accountability means ... he stated he accepted accountability which in business terms is near to throwing yourself on your own sword. If the company gets in a twist and the board decides that someone has to take a public bullet in order to compensate, this guy just volunteered.…
I think for a *newly manufactured* mass produced vehicle to be street legal in the US it has to meet Federal safety regs, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that airbags are required. And if it’s a low volume / specialty / niche market vehicle, there are all sorts of exceptions and work-arounds available.
There are many use cases where the *practical* solution is not the one that satisfies. As you say, it would be more practical to rent a special vehicle / trailer for that twice yearly use case as opposed to owning and storing unused equipment and daily driving something that’s overkill for the purpose. But people…
for 90% of the driving needs of 90% of the population, 115 mile range is sufficient,
I am mystified and/or confused as to what Mitsu is trying to accomplish with this “google-ification” ... why do they think their going to attract ‘tech startup’ type workers? Aren’t they a car manufacturer? What the fuck are these hip techies going to do there? They need newer / smarter management, not hipster tech…
a number of people here are saying that this is BS because it really isn’t attacking people with type 1 diabetes, or people are just looking to get offended, or whatever. To all of those who think that, I have to ask - have you ever found the joke funny?
rejecting the word because it is rarely if ever used
