My curmudgeonly instinct is telling me this is a perfect example of GM phoning it in. While there’s a lot to like in certain individual details, the whole thing as a package is obviously lacking. Holistically, it’s simply not competitive. Looking at the pictures and reading the descriptions, I can only wonder how GM

most people expect to pay something like $9 at minimum

He’s young, and based on the beard, a hipster ... so either he wears them “saggin” like a thuglife wannabee, or he’s gone the other direction and stuffs himself into primary colored “skinny” jeans with his ankles showing all the time, either way makes it really difficult to take large steps  :-D

It’s easy to say “anyone with half a brain should”

Anybody with a high school education can figure out the tax issues inherent with being a gig driver. It ain’t rocket science. That being said, I continue to have absolutely no sympathy for gig drivers. Nobody forced them to choose that job. Don’t like the pay? Get a different job. Not saying that’s necessarily easy if

So if you happen to be small/have a young face you should just accept that you regularly won’t be allowed to purchase alcohol until well into your 30s?

Wearing headphones is the universal symbol for “Don’t fucking talk to me”.

she addresses literally all of that

I got no beef with you or anyone else who doesn’t like CC, but I really don’t understand you. How can CC be a distraction? It’s something that you don’t have to think about. In it’s proper use, it simply holds the accelerator for you so you don’t keep pumping the pedal and doing the slow down/speed up dance

trading on nostalgia by relaunching an old model, but don’t seem capable of acknowledging that that nostalgia isn’t just about the car. It’s also about a time when more cars were made here.

Looks cool, totes agree ...but intuitive? Absolutely not to anybody who’s ever driven a normal car. And not to anybody who’s never driven a car either. There is nothing “intuitive” about the stupid non-traditional transmission control devices that so many automakers have been shoving into cars over the last decade or

Bah. I was a decades long subscriber to both Motorcyclist and Cycle World when Bonnier fucked them up. I cancelled both scrips after a couple issues proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that they were utter garbage compared to how they were before. The ‘new’ Motorcyclist’s photography was second only to the fucking worst

Life long California resident here, born and raised in Sacramento county. There are tons of stupid laws on the books all across Cali, both state and local laws, and once you get over the umbrage when you hear about the stupidity, you can then take into account what the actual real world effect is.

Here’s a thought ... these plasma doohickies (ahem) are going to be physically separate from the cylinder heads and inserted into them, kinda like a plug. And to the naked eye most people will not differentiate a “plasma pulse” from a spark. So what are we going to call these new fangled doohickies that ‘spark’ and

I am a child of the 70's ... all the cars that yoots of today mock, despise, laugh at ... they were cars I desired and aspired to as a youngun. First car I ever owned was a well-used 76 Dodge Aspen R/T (slower than dogshit but so so so cool looking). Favorite car I ever owned (out of about 10 cars now in my lifetime)

So .... the moral of the story is “those who can do, do; those who can’t do, teach”.

Too many people on this site haven’t even visited rural America and have no idea just how big or car focused it is.

That NPR article is an utter load of SJW crap. Just because some asshole created racist lyrics to an existing and NON RACIST melody, that does NOT make the melody racist or based on racism or any other bullshit like that.

No no no no no ... ALL body kits are bad. Period. They all always make the car uglier, or at least stupider looking. Any car, any kit.

Umm ... hydrogen “powered” cars ARE electric cars. The H2 is used to generate electricity which then powers the motors. There is no “somehow” necessary, it’s not an ‘either or’ condition.
