Who decides when I can go where? The route to be taken? What places will I not be able to get to? Will there be surge pricing, premium routes, discounts for places no one wants to go?

I’m 63 and I think this idea sucks.

Except Texas and several other states have already passed laws

“in high school, there were a LOT of kids who were scared to death of driving”

I understand that the provenance of this specific example is fucked, but as far as “real value” ... under 8 grand for a hot-rodded TransAm seems rather fair to me if it runs reliably and any obvious issues can be easily rectified for relatively low cost.

Are we sure that the author (or that Zapata dude) translated properly? If those are jet engines, then shouldn’t their power output be rated as pounds of thrust, not “horsepower”?

I like the A-10 more than any other fixed wing craft in our military inventory (my absolute fav is the Super Cobra), but this Tucano looks like a capable bird. I can’t be bothered to search out and read all the (probably) bazillions of pages of tech specs and engineering jargon, but I wonder how it compares to the

Thing’s a gawddamned turd

I was a renter for years as a young adult, became a homeowner after marriage, became a renter again after divorce.

The ‘condoms for everyone’ rallying cry has been used for decades here in ‘Murica ... especially among progressive/liberal/left wing populations that promote a, shall we say, “anti prude” social agenda?

it’s norovirus that is the most common cause of food poisoning in the US. So why aren’t Americans more afraid of it?

For the record: Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain or cramps, watery or loose diarrhea, malaise, low-grade fever, muscle pain. Symptoms start within 24 to 48 hours of infection, and typically last one to three days.

I’m not saying that any lawsuits (if there are any) about that shifter are valid, however, I am saying that the shifter is poorly designed. As you might have judged from my comment that they “failed to idiot proof” it.

Can they recall cars because the drivers are morons?

It was fun but it didn’t last. I bought it used, and used it up in the 2 years I had it. A previous owner had put a faux-Hurst T-handle shifter in place of the stock PRNDL between the front seats, and it reversed the pattern (park was at the bottom instead of the top) and the linkages were sketchy as all get out and

My first car was a 76 Dodge Aspen R/T ... 318 cid v8, 2bbl carb, probably less than 150 hp when new ... I can assure everyone here that the R/T was (is?) the most desirable version of the Aspen ever produced (like it’s twin, the Plymouth Volare Roadrunner) and even if you could find one in perfect condition nowadays,

A thought just occurred to me ... I’ve never seen any of these crash test videos that show how a vehicle responds to a massive impact from the rear ... imagine one of those periodic freeway fog-related pileups ... maybe you successfully stopped before hitting the moron who stopped in the lane in front of you, but

bah ... can’t delete my meaningless post so I edited it to be even more meaningless that it already was

I agree it looks like a lot has been truncated ... the description says that the space was originally 50 feet deep (I’m assuming they meant vertical distance floor to ceiling, aka height) ... judging by the size of the people in the photos, the current space appears to me to be between 20 and 25 feet from floor to

It’s got a (more or less) traditional Toho face, and the bulk of the body as well, but what on god’s green earth is with those tiny tiny arms? Someone decided all of a sudden to make the Big G into a T-rex analogue?
