Pretty sure Raheem is like Milo*, a resident cover-minority (*Milo is said to be gay IIRC) that tells us all the evils of minorities like them. They're part of a minority, so you can't call their tripe bigoted! Because that's how bigots think that works.
+1 for the use of "gormless!"
Yeah, and he's no Mel Brooks.

Pretty heavy on the nihilism this episode…
I really hope so. He's kinda like the sad-sack, ill-treated Toby from the (American) Office; at some point it just gets unpleasant (which is why Gerry/Gary/etc. from Parks and Rec was infinitely better).
For too many (miserable) people, I think this is accurate.
"a wave of unreality"
Yup.

Some standout quotes:

Just started watching this show after having meant to for some time. I'm enjoying it!
Best, most accurate description.
Missed opportunity for rhyming: I'm your bro from another doe.
Better off Ted.
As a kid I was always fascinated and curious about the way he takes off one type of shoes and puts on another. In my family one does wear shoes in the house at all.
