I am appalled at how much laundry soap costs, especially the “natural” stuff. You can make literally (not figuratively) 15 gallons of perfume free laundry soap out of washing soda, borax, and liquid castile soap for about $30. Or make powdered by substituting grated bar soap for the liquid. Just don’t use the powder…

The freezer is my best friend when it comes to pesto, cuz my basil plants grow monstrous quickly too! Just make the batches without the cheese and portion it out into plastic baggies.

Our house hates mayo, so I replace it with sour cream in tons of recipes. Also, good ol’ oils and vinegars can be stick blended together to make them creamier for cold salads.
