Our family makes ambrosia with sour cream as the white component.  No whipped cream, no cool whip.  I take it to potlucks and even though most people sniff in its general direction to start with for its uncool factor, it’s almost always the first bowl to empty.  Also, we call it Sisteraki salad.  The reason for that
