Not finding the bodies would be so hard. When do you give up hope? When do you stop looking at everyone you pass, hoping it's them? I cannot even imagine. Losing a loved one in a fucked up way is hard enough, never recovering the bodies and never truly knowing what happened.... I cannot.

Cold cases always make me feel sad for the families. I can’t imagine going decades without knowing what happened to a child, sibling, or parent.

One who doesn’t know how to do laundry.

So your creepy carnie cousin asks you to help him move and burn “two duffel bags, each weighing about 60 or 70 pounds, that had red stains and an odor of decay” and you only remember to tell the police about it 40 years later? Perhaps Henry Parker should be charged for aiding and abetting.

We can all acknowledge this is some fucked-up shit and it’s a good thing justice is finally being served. However, what kind of idiot asks a relative to wash HIS BLOODY SHIRT. I know they didn’t have Law & Order back then, but come on! Let this guy rot in prison!

Many years back I had a guy come up to me in a parking lot and try the “I need money for gas so I can get home.” bit. I was totally oblivious and offered to buy him a full tank at the gas station that I knew was just down the street. (this was back when gas was a buck a gallon.) He tried to shuffle it off by saying

There’s also a universe where Pinkham remembered his gimp suit, with pics to prove it.

Really? I thought it was buying the coffee shop and running it into the ground.

That one amused me, as I’m guessing his point was something about Obama wanting to give (lazy, liberal, and probably black in this guy’s mind) people whatever they want for free... WHILE he was upset that a private business was ONLY giving him a free coffee as opposed to a free expensive espresso drink of his choice.

I was trying to explain to my English husband about what Friendly’s was- basically a place with rocking grilled cheese sandwiches and ALL THE ICE CREAM YOU COULD EVER WANT in a variety of forms. LOVE Friendly’s.

I totally love/hate Sonic. Love the ice, the unsweetened iced tea, and the limeade. Hate the ridiculous amount of salt in/on everything they cook. Fortunately, I now live in an area where this is moot as there are no Sonics in south Florida (for the time being — there is a Sonic in everyone’s future, so watch out!).

The coffee story... It fucking amazes me how often people expect ridiculous shit for free. You have to have the imagination and expectations of a young child to read “free small coffee” and think “free complicated coffee based drink.”

I need to print the one out about the three-year-old peeing into a cup and paste it all over the walls of the bathroom. If a three-year-old can pee in a cup, grown ass men can sure as shit pee without spraying all over the walls, floor, and (memorably) ceiling.

Did you read the article? It was a very specific party, after one of their first shows. Fowley’s minions basically forced her to take a Quaalude, and possibly once she was out, made her take more. Several people who were there corroborated Fuch’s account. The bassist who took Fuch’s spot in the band after she finally

Joan Jett has been pretty active in defending Kim Fowley’s legacy, to the point of excusing questionable actions before. There was an interview with her in LA Weekly around the time of Fowley’s death (I’m a little unsure on the date) where Jett pretty much said anyone who criticized Fowley was just a failure and

They are not a problem for us, but they may be a big problem for Fuchs. It can be incredibly painful to have your experience of sexual assault or rape invalidated by people you know witnessed it, particularly when the perpetrator is dead so he will never confirm what happened. It doesn’t really surprise me or bother

Why not hold both the rapist and the accomplices accountable? After all, it’s not a zero-sum game...

And yet there are MULTIPLE people who were there and say she was there. There are people who recounted conversations they later had with Jett about the incident. Why is it impossible to believe that she’s not just being stupid about this in the face of quite a bit of evidence? She’s feeling defensive and is being

Well, in this particular case the rapist is well-known for being a sleaze, plus he’s dead, so there is not much to say about him. Everyone knew he had no sense of shame or redeeming qualities. Jett on the other hand has built this image of a strong woman, a feminist, which falls flat in light of the way she’s handling

Cheries story doesn’t make sense. She wrote an accurate account of what happened in in her memoir , and showed it to Jackie, who took legal action to stop it. That same account showed up without Jackies name in another book. So if she now claims it didn’t happen, how did she know the exact details to write about it?
