"I really, truly don't understand why intelligent women are Mormon ."

Please remember that Darren Wilson is approximately 6'1" & 220 lbs...

I kept getting negative feedback on my annual reviews for being "rigid, and inflexible, and disrespectful". The first few times, I took it to heart and really tried to modify some of my behaviors. It didn't matter. I was being extremely careful of my tone, not speaking out as much and being overly accommodating to

The rapist is not a graduate. He's a senior. He has been suspended for the remainder of the school year though.

I prefer embroidery!

"Don't any of them cower in fear that some feminazi is gonna cry rape and therefore take great pains to ensure he's like, actually getting enthusiastic consent from any ladies?"

A 16 year old can't consent to sex with an adult. So, yeah. That's rape.

I am not very familiar with shirtgate. I am picking up what you're laying down. Some people REALLY don't know that they're being offensive. I think pointing it out is good (how else would they learn) but in some instances, I'll concede that the shaming is overkill, especially times where the person in question simply

Usually I am alone when I am catcalled. I can only think of a few instances of it happening when I wasn't somewhat isolated (walking alone, no one else around).

How have they been treated like criminals? Having to pull an ad that offends people isn't really parallel to any criminal proceedings. I would also argue that reinforcing gender stereotypes to make a buck is *kind of* evil.

I hear what you're saying, but I disagree. These everyday micro-aggressions have a cumulative effect. One ad may not be a big deal, but there isn't just one sexist ad. We are exposed to these messages constantly. If people don't recognize the *seemingly harmless* instances of sexism, they will be less likely to

"if I call myself a feminist or if others label me as such, that's immediately the only thing people associate with me. If I'm a feminist, that's all I am."

Keep going! This shit is solid gold. I am clinically depressed and your delusions have me in stitches! I haven't laughed like this in weeks!

"Someone else posted below about the chaos of being scared, confused, in denial, and everything else that can come with an assault. I think for most people the overriding thought, is how do I get out of this most safely and that tends to be to fight very little and just beg for it to be over."

"Almost certainly because of victims failing to immediately go to the police for proper physical documentation/evidence and the inevitably resultant lack of physical evidence with which to prosecute. Thus my original point."

I actually work on campus in a research facility. If a crime occurs in my workplace, we have to call the CAMPUS POLICE not the CITY POLICE. The Campus Police are actual police officers and their jurisdiction is the campus. They aren't security guards (although we have those as well).

Your initial comment was something along the lines of "go to the fucking police", n'est pas? Then you made arguments that campus police aren't really police. You can't even concede you are wrong about campus police! Where the administration comes in is that they are REQUIRED BY LAW to investigate sexual assault and

"If you are raped and then proceed, immediately to a police station to have a rape kit performed, abuse/trauma documented, statement given, and details on record, I think you will be taken very seriously an overwhelming percentage of the time."

Your initial comment was something along the lines of "go to the fucking police", n'est pas? Then you made arguments that campus police aren't really police, right? I am pointing out that many of these victims DO in fact go to the police and are directed to campus police. Where the administration comes in and some of

Do you understand what "jurisdiction" is? I'm going to assume that you do. So, if a crime occurs, like rape, in a certain jurisdiction, the police department in that jurisdiction investigates that came. In this case, the crime occurred on a university campus. That is the jurisdiction. THE CAMPUS IS TJTHEE
