I had a nurse once exclaim when she nailed the needle on the scale at 160 (my weight fluctuates constantly, I don’t know why I need to tell you that because feelings). When I asked her why she was saying “Oh!” she actually said, “I just thought you were much, much lighter than that.”

Still too heavy. A hollow plastic skeleton from somebody’s cheap-ass Halloween decor is better.

I just feel a profound sense of sadness wash over me whenever I hear someone talk about “appropriate” calorie intake.

I’m a six foot tall woman, and I had to choke back some pretty irritated comments when my friend (an aspiring health coach!) blithely told me that she felt all women should base their diets on 1600 calories per day, and men should eat around 2,000. I’m, what, 2-3 inches taller than the average male? If I limited

It’s like they’re just plain scared of numbers! And I thought men were supposed to be good at math or some shit. Snork.

100 lbs? For grown women? Who have already passed the five-foot mark & gotten their periods? I knew that men have no idea how women’s bodies even work, but that’s ridiculous!

Ha, seriously. One of my friends is a 6' tall woman (I’m 6'2 and we’re Giants) and smokin hot. A guy friend of mine made a comment about how thin and hot she was and then said something along the lines of ‘if a chick is over 120, she’s fat, end of discussion’. My friend said ‘how much do you think I weight’ and he

Starred because I am totally stealing, “after my body decomposes I won’t reach 100 lbs.” I chuckled out loud.

Weight, size, measurements... I feel like the only average soul who has a handle on that is Sir-Mix-A-Lot. (“36/24/36? Only if she’s 5'3".”)

Mine bought me a size 4/6 robe and I am most definitely a 10. I think their caveman brains subconsciously say, “society says skinny is sexy, I find my woman sexy, ergo, my woman is skinny.”

Someone ignorant once told me the ideal weight for women is around 100 lbs. I’m 5'11" ish - even after my body decomposes I don’t think I’ll reach 100 lbs. Good thing he capped the height at 5'7" or he might have some malnourished female DJs on his hands...

Hummingbird bones and candy.

This is the part that kills me. Like, yes, I hate the sexism, but the arrogance to take it that one step further to a specific weight range, based on absolutely no knowledge of a woman’s body... AHHHH rage inducing.

you can’t give blood at 100 pounds. That should be an indicator that that is not a healthy weight for most adults. I know 105 was the LOW end, but still.

Exactly. A woman could be healthy at that height/weight, but she will look nothing like he expects her to.

Yes. Here he is with her:

A walking Fleshlight

To be fair, he posted pretty much the same kind of requirements for male DJs:

is he looking for a doll?
