yes, zero/zero as in zero speed, zero altitude.

5M does not compute.

Martin Baker Zero-Zero ejection seats. Safely eject from your stricken aircraft at 0 knots and 0 feet, or even under water!

They were invented in the late 60's, but I have no idea what aircraft they are actually installed in, only that they exist.

No there typically isn’t these days. Most modern fighter ejection seats are 0/0. They are capable of a safe ejection sitting on the ground or deck, and at 0 knots (not moving). That being said, there are always injuries associated with an ejection. Sometimes minor, sometimes major back damage or lacerations. It’s

The ACES II seat, used in most modern USAF fighters, is a 0/0 seat. Meaning it’s rated to perform at 0 feet altitude and 0 mph forward speed. Technically, it would work if engineered into the cars correctly.

Sort of. Ejection seats these days have what I believe is called a “zero-zero” capability. Zero altitude, and zero speed.

Nope, they can be launched from the ground.

No choice? Sorry but I’m not buying that. This is all about consumerism and current American tastes in vehicles, and that’s all. Note that I have no problem with that. Back in the day the most popular thing was a station wagon and before that giant sedans. We like big things. Big trucks, big houses, big TVs.... Big

Begging the French for a favor is why America exists though

Small cars are generally cheaper too, and take up less space Not everyone can afford a giant SUV or a giant parking space.

Looks like USA is a very unique market in that regard, but they’re just one oil crisis away from a small car “comeback”

No, they’ll start dumping their larger SUVs for smaller SUVs.

Conversely, the Viper has only gained 13lbs (in TA trim).

Thanks for reminding me of my eternal lust (and utter despair that I’ll never drive one) I hold for the 904...

That’s why i was using Toyota cars, since they do have engine partnerships, I’m sure Toyota wouldn’t mind a bit of chassis tuning experience for some sporty cars or hot hatches.

why doesn’t Lotus do what they used to do and tune other brand’s cars and then call them Lotuses? I suppose they couldn’t do it with Ford or GM anymore but imagine something like a Lexus RC tuned by Lotus, or a Lotus iM hot hatchback

I really don’t understand what you’re wanting Lotus to do? Lotus being able to work their magic and make the Evora 400 comfortable as well as sporty is bad how? It’s still more sporty and above all more direct, balanced, good to drive and has better feel than just about any sports car in the world. It’s damn fast too.

They don’t, but they make a 2.0 boxer engine that could be turbocharged to 300 hp easily. and since Toyota has a partnership with BMW now, they make a small V8 that could be used in the top model..

Selling exclusively Lotus type cars is what keeps getting Lotus in trouble. Unfortunately. Lotus seems to have learned a bit and we know a SUV is coming. Yeah it’s sacrilege, but Lotus with a side business of making lightweight valentines is better than no Lotus at all.
