We will know soon enough, geologically speaking.

I would commission my own series of custom coaches in various styles and have a garage full of those at each of my homes.

Just FYI, I came here specifically looking for this. Thanks for what you do.

Competes with the Sienna for my eyeballs.

I got a good sized humidifier on the furnace, evaporative panel type, doesn’t do the trick fully. Should’ve gone bigger.

Now I understand the Nissan Quest comment. Thx!

What’s off about this?

Isn’t the Windstar its corporate cousin? How’s it better?

Well put.

.4l!

No it isn't.

Which would also roll with a 4speed from an XJ.

I like reading all this stuff by you Tav, but $50k on a car? My fams 2 daily drivers didn’t cost that much when new combined. So when you say they are cheap, I feel dirt poor - and I’m really not. So I imagine/remember how others must feel who are struggling, like I once was. This shit is expensive to buy, finance,

Idk, some people just like wrenching.

What if I buy a replica Cobra? Am I a poseur or an enthusiast?

No.

Obligatory: are you new here?

They sure don’t advertise them like you need to fab parts. Not saying they hide it... But maybe that’s something The Garage could cover, real experiences with kit car construction.

I’m kind of stoked about this as someone who loves cars and drools over the Daytona kit, but a thousand isn’t a one off, and emissions do matter. I can kind of see a libertarian viewpoint on safety if you mean for the driver.

Great piece but I don’t get the whole Jeep vs. anything else from a major manufacturer off road thing. The Wildcat not included, what else comes close? Some Toyota trucks (some of which have extreme price tags new) maybe.
