I took me awhile to figure out why the latest FF 3.6 and 4.0 beta used so much memory. I finally disabled Adblock Plus & FF used half the memory is used previously. Less than half. The only problem? I'm now assaulted by ads. I recently uninstalled Beta 7 & am now using FF 3.0.19 & Adblock Plus 1.2.2.

@IReallyAmSparticus: So many Americans aren't even aware of other browsers. I try every browser I come across. I like Opera. It's customizable & very, very capable. I just happen to prefer Firefox.
