As well you should be - that looks like Wendy O. Williams! (from the Plasmatics... I have no idea how old you are)

Excellent writing, truly. With some difficulty I've located your mom's '73. Expect it in four to five business days, ladies still attached of course. ; )

As I was reading this in the comments, I was thinking it would make an excellent, stand-alone post.

That was a long read, but worth every minute. Congrats on the well-earned COTD!

She has some tape that you can use. Be very, very careful in pulling it off.

hello friend.

nah man, great story. Read every word.

Congrats, great comment !

I've never seen a Lancia Scorpion before, but now that I have I've seen the car that inspired the DeLorean. Unmistakable similarities.

I owned a 1976 Lancia Scorpion, for 10 years. It was a nice bright red one. You missed out. It was the saddest day when I sold it. That was until I noticed the guy I sold it to, who said he was going to complete my restoration, decided to let it rot in his backyard. Eventually he moved, which was probably for the best

Really cool looking car, for sure. Way ahead of it's time. My parents bought one on the late 1970s. I was just getting in to cars. We were all able to admire it as it sat in the driveway, day after day, not running at all. We got to know the tow-truck driver on a first name basis (in fact, he's STILL a family

Congrats on COTD, but this should've just been shared as a featured article

canvas sunroofs are awesome

Nice, I've never seen one. Off topic- did they take out the bike lane?

Oh dear. Americanising a Lancia Monte Carlo did it no favours did it? Huge bumpers, round headlights designed for something else..

Congratulations, Mr. mtdrift, on COTD today! I have a another MINI for you, and one of these lovely ladies will deliver it to you in a few days.

Speaking of old Lancia's, check out this cool MonteCarlo Beta I saw driving around in downtown Toronto, in PERFECT condition. I never thought I'd live to see the day that I'd even see one rotting, let alone one running.

Sorry for the shitty photo - he was FLYING.

Wow... just wow.

Maybe he could ask for donations on the web to help with costs.

As an Oregonian, my guess is that it's the closest twisty road as such to LA.
