YES. I remember seeing my (now husband) from afar (we met in college) and I would just melt. I remember being CONSUMED by wanting to be near him, talk to him, smell him... oh it was a magical time. We’ve been together for 13 years now and obviously our love is deeper and more meaningful, but man, those times were fun.

Yeah hot tubs are on my “NOPE!” list. I hate them. They skeeve me out beyond words!

This is my current favorite.

Exclamation! I wore that from ages 9-11!!

Totally. The thing I hate most about being a mom (especially when I was a new mom) was unsolicited advice. So it’s more like when she says stuff like, “Tell me it’ll be OK?” I talk about how cute it is when the girls play together, and that she’ll be fine. But MOSTLY I say, “take it easy on yourself. You’re a good

We have 22 months between 1 and 2 and it was definitely a nightmare-ish transition. I was like, “I already have one kid! My life is different now anyway! How much harder can it get?!?” HAHAHA. Oh, stupid me. Stupid stupid me. I have a girlfriend who is pregnant with her second and I’m like... just at a loss with what

THANK YOU for this. The transition from zero kids to one was dramatic, but wonderful. Going from one kid to two?! Holy hell. Nothing could have prepared me for that shitshow. We’re all settling in now (a year later!!!) but wow, it was really a massive shift. Good to hear the third was less dramatic!

Oh, off topic sort of- I sometimes think in 4-5ish years I might consider having baby #3, after having my first two close together (same-ish as you I assume). Was your pregnancy harder with the third since you were a few years older? Having the first two so close has been tough but I think after that, and in 4ish

la la la I can’t hear youuuuuuuu!

Ugh, that sounds awful, I am sorry. I do realize how insanely lucky we are to have family that are willing and able to help us. I have a lot of friends with small babies and we’ve made a pact that once they’re old enough to enjoy sleepovers, we’ll rotate which house the kids go to and all the other parents can go do

I sing “Muffin Top” and “Fart So Loud” regularly!

Also I need to say your username is amazing. I sing “Break another little chunk of my lung now mister!” probably once a day!

That’s freaking awesome and adorable. Lipstick touch ups! Dying.

YES. I have friends who seem to brag about how they’ve never left their kid, and I always really want to say something along the lines of, “yeah, and it shows. You NEED to get away from that kid, for a day or two, because I think you’re turning insane.” Not trying to toot my own horn here, but people do always make

Oh, you’re giving me hope. I have a 3 year old and a 1 year old and I definitely feel like they’re energy vampires. I did start to feel a SMIDGE better when the little one turned 1, but man, 2 sounds like a dream. All the stumbling around, teething, eating things that aren’t food... it’s insanely cute but INSANELY

That’s awful!

When I was 26 my cousin who is 13 years older than me had a toddler and a newborn. So, she was 39. We were talking about babies and how I wanted them soon. We visited her one day and she took me by the shoulders and with tears in her eyes said, “Have them young, save yourself, HAVE THEM YOUNG. I feel like shit every

This is excellent, thank you for sharing. My two little girls are only 3 and 1, but my husband and I have already gone away without them for weekends here and there, we take them places with us all the time, and we always take turns going out with our friend groups at LEAST one night a week each. It’s so freaking

Ok, good to know. My kids are still too little (though my older one will be starting preschool next year) and I think all of that stuff is BS. BUT!!! I might just be the one crying in the front row, too.

I was loyal to Batiste until I just got a sample of Amika in my birchbox, like you. I LOVE IT. LOVE. I’m definitely going to buy that when my Batiste runs out (i’m too cheap to just go out and buy a new one if I have a full cannister of another brand already, sigh)
