My kids were grown by the time I got a smartphone, and I’m really glad I didn’t have to deal with this decision.

Why not sleep naked?
In Hawaii nobody wears shoes indoors. EVER. Because of the climate, slippers (aka flip flops - rubber thonged) are the most common shoe. Also no need for socks. Everyone automatically removes slippers or shoes outside of the front door and is barefoot inside. Sweeping and vacuuming occur regularly and it is…
Of course there will be positive feedback! That's why you need to see all of it - so you can get the warm fuzzies and be in a better position to handle the bitch.
As faculty for six years, I’ve been evaluated by every.single.student. It’s inevitable that you get bad feedback, but it’s harder to forget than good.
That hateful and condescending attitude is found on Jezebel. I'm tired of it. I be gone.
I have already written a letter to Joanna about how the headline and reporting are misleading. Essentially what this pregnant woman is doing is asking the ACLU to force the hospital to do a tubal ligation at the same time as the delivery.
Debate? What you talking about, Willis? Did I say anything in my post that inspired this response? I'm at a loss.
Wrong. Neither surgery is a big deal. Tubal ligation is an outpatient procedure with minimal risk, minimal recuperation. This story and the way it’s being reported is all kinds of wrong. She asked the ACLU to step in so she can have a tubal ligation when they deliver her baby. This is a first-world expectation issue.…
Former ER nurse here to say I don't believe a word of it.
It’s not an extreme situation. The headline is misleading. The woman knows she’s going to have a C-section and has enlisted the ACLU to have a tubal ligation done at the same time.
First of all, the headline, Joanna is wrong. The tubal ligation is not to save her life or the life of her fetus. It is to prevent future pregnancies which may be life-threatening for her due to her condition. So fix the headline.
Dave is complaining about garlic, in Gilroy, CA? WTF? Gilroy is the garlic capital of the world. He, like Kim Davis, needs to work elsewhere.
We don't. That's just a prop picture.
That pisses me off. If you have the energy, lodge a complaint with Kaiser.
Not all the people who work in health care are nurses. Some may just be techs who don't know all medications. Usually the first person to ask basic questions is not trained, and is paid to ask a set of question from a computer, and type said answers.
In future, just say the first of the last month. They really DO want to know if you may be pregnant, though, so as to not potentially cause a fetus harm. You may be pregnant but not know it yet.
Yesterday found me in the ER at 5am, with a pain in the ass. Seriously, I had been unable to lie down for four nights running so hadn’t slept for five days and the pain was starting to make me cry, couldn’t wait for urgent care to open, so went to the ER.
For some reason I want to say it's penii, octopii.
ALL reptiles freak me out.
