I don’t have exact figures, but paying nurses’ salaries is the biggest expense for every single US hospital. For every hour you’re there, there is at least one RN who makes about $30-50/hr. That doesn’t include benefits, training, etc.

Need lawyerly answer: for them to have won, don't they have to prove direct causation? And how in the world could they prove that?? This award is ridiculous, IMO.
If you have asthma or COPD it could cause respiratory issues, being so close to your nose and mouth. There is a no-rinse shampoo available.
It hasn't been allowed in any hospital I've worked in, in many years. Mostly, I think, because of its association with breathing problems.
Wait, what? How does one put powder inside? And pour quoi??
When I was born at UCSF (according to my mom), the price was:
So controversial. I was working at an ER in CA (where safe haven exists) when a newborn was brought in. I’ll never forget the nurse who took her in. She was aghast, appalled, and so judgmental that anybody would “abandon” their baby. I thought it was the best thing to happen in the ER in a long time.
I read his CV early in his presidency. It's unbelievably impressive. Every time I think of Trump, I think about what his CV would look like. If someone could publish the two, side by side, that would be enlightening.
Thanks for your support. One of my problems is my grown children. They have basically written me out of their lives. They’ve forgotten that I was normal for the first 20/22 years of their lives. They seem to only remember the last few, and rather than be supportive, they’re hypercritical and judgemental. Even weirder…
I'm happy for you!
I think the US judges know nothing else, and likely tired of all the DUIs.
Inability to show remorse is a classic sign of a sociopathic personality disorder.
That sounds fabulous!
Are you in the US? Not so sure it's widely accepted here.
I met a guy at AA who was ordered to go to AA for 3 months because of a DUI. He got wasted on day 93.
I tried every single meeting in my area within a 100 day period, without finding a good one. So, no more. I don’t smoke pot, but consider their attitude towards it ridiculous.
I can't remember what the names are, but one program cost money that I don't have, and the other didn't work because there were no meetings in my area.
There were numerous instances of sexual harassment. The worst was from a man who was in a relatively high position within AA, who knew I was less than a week sober. When I called others to try to report him, I was told the typical AA lingo. The Serenity Prayer: you can't change others, only yourself. I was given no…
Yes, I’ve tried women-only meetings. It’s probably because I’ve never been the type that manages to negotiate social structures such as groups of women (starting from Kindergarten, natch), that they were more traumatizing to me than regular meetings. Feeling excluded or criticized tends to make me want to drink, both…
Your reply is very helpful and astute. I have a fabulous, supportive therapist to whom I am honest, and I am more proud of telling her how long I’ve been sober than I would be telling a group of people who clap at everyone’s sobriety dates. It didn’t occur to me how helpful she’s been to my sobriety until I read your…
