Here to commiserate. Until I started thinking about summer camp because of this thread. I always used to say that summers were the best part of my teenage hood.

Why is it that when parents are planning a divorce and how to tell their child, they think “oh we’ll do it while she’s gone at summer camp”, not realizing how completely wrong that is.

Or for moms like mine who just wanted me gone for the summer. Worked well for me too: I didn't have to see her for months either.

Plus the guy is an entitled, bloodthirsty liar who also is a healthcare provider. Outrage towards a sociopath is completely justifiable.
