You beat me to it! She wrote another memoir, almost as good: “Lit”, which is about her struggle with alcohol.

I'm a teacher so don't have to work till August. I'm going to travel but need to do it cheaply. Right now sticking to the US. Anybody want to recommend their cheap, fabulous city?
Ina's voice is my Xanax.
He probably thought it was made the same way as ramen, where you cook the noodles in the water, add the package of flavoring, and eat.
When I am drunk my phone becomes a relationship killer. By the time I'm sober, they've already gotten so pissed off they've blocked me, so I can't even apologize.
I'd rather be single.
It worked great for quitting smoking, but those nightmares! They were so upsetting I woke up crying every morning. I wish they could fix that one little side effect, then more people would quit.
When I was 16 I had to get rescued from an overturned sailboat in the middle of SF Bay by the Coast Guard. Looking at the Coasties hotness was the LAST thing on my mind.
Thanks for that link. Dan does a great job of explaining why this behavior is not ok in public.
“Jessa: My parents are pretty good kissers! They very much like to show their kiss in public places, so they kiss in front of us all the time”
You can always ask a nurse. We’re a lot cheaper then MDs, and believe it or not, we know a lot about medications because of out training/education, etc.
That comment is worthy of you getting un-greyed. If I weren't grey I'd do it for you.
Exactly. Women have not come a long way, baby, and it doesn’t appear as if this will change in the US in my lifetime.
The article is about something egregious that happened in the Sonography program, which I believe, and like everybody else here, want to know more about.
I addressed your alleged mother’s bed bath experience in your first post. Forgot to mention that OF COURSE the students wear gowns, because patients wear gowns, and the goal is to learn how to bathe a patient who is covered by a gown, while maintaining the dignity of the patient. I call bullshit.
Either you misunderstood your mother or you are making this up. RNs do NOT do pelvic or prostate exams. Master’s level board-certified nurses do, but I checked Valencia College’s website, and they do not teach that level. That makes the rest of your post suspect.
In RN programs, we use manikins.
Sim Man here.
For RN programs, we mostly use manikins in a skills lab, which is basically a mock hospital suite with beds filled with the manikins which have interchangeable parts. For invasive procedures, such as inserting bladder catheters, we teach and the students test off on the manikins. For non-invasive stuff like blood…
The purpose of the “generous amounts of lubrication” is to enable insertion - so, yeah, no.
