Thanks for this great expose. I want to reiterate one salient fact you pointed out, for those who skim articles: bottled water costs 1000 times more than tap water. Perhaps it's because I'm old enough to remember the days when there was no such thing, but I've never understood why people waste their money on it.

The baby was a newborn, and the mom had taken a prescribed pain med for c section pain. Imagine her horror at waking up to that, and then everyone assuming she did it.

Was it Dr. G or Forensic Files where this mother woke up and her newborn baby sleeping next to her was covered in blood, dead. They thought it was the mom, turned out it was a RAT. Bit the baby so much it bled to death. Yeah, so no rodents in bed is a good policy.

Or, if it was a flaw in me, what was it? Cuz if it's something I'm doing wrong, I'd like to know what it is.

Thanks for being my therapist! The last two guys I was interested decided nay, in both cases I had no idea why, so I asked them. Neither would tell me. It's been driving me crazy - obsessing over "do I text too much", "did I have underarm hair" etc.

I hope someone can answer for you. In the meantime I recommend this book, available on Amazon and on Kindle: Codependent No More, by Melodie Beattie. Helpful for both issues. It's helpful for just about any interpersonal issue and very helpful for learning healthy boundaries.

Push-starting is just one more good reason to own a manual. I had a dead battery once when I was parked on the sidewalk in Waikiki and friends pushed the car while I popped the clutch - in reverse and the only incline being from the sidewalk to the street. Car started right up. No need for jumper cables :)
