Jamie tried to kill a child to avoid getting beheaded himself. It was a quip, not a statement of fact. He did prevent King's Landing from burning, but since he was in it, he might have had an ulterior motive.

I don't think there ARE good guys in this. There are people who survive and people who are dead, and that's about it. Jamie is about as close to a character with some personal standards (increasingly as the series goes on) who is not trying to change the world into something it isn't.
It is not fucking stupid that a joke about rape could be anti-rape. Comedy is one of the only safe refuges for really subversive voices, and that includes rape victims and feminists. Yes, people also use it for bad things as well. It's a really potent tool, and I don't think it should be completely off the table…
I see he did specifically say that making fun of the victim might be OK. I think he's wrong. I don't think that can be funny.
THAT is not fair. He was engaging the original author's points, not defending the people who threatened her. You do not have to paint the people who think that clever, nuanced jokes that confront racism, privilege, and yes, rape and rape culture should have a place in the dialogue in with the people making death…
I think it's super weird you're assuming a rape joke would necessarily be 1) graphically about the act itself and 2) pro-rape.
I believe both Carlin and Louis CK were/ are pretty clearly progressive and pro-lady, and usually managed to use their jokes about lady subjects and privilege for good. When misogynists think they can just say "cunt" without any thought or point and be as funny or relevant as either, it's kind of pathetic.
I'm not a fan of hers.
Steam is better than most other PC game distribution, but clearly inferior in a lot of ways to being able to buy used games.
Right, we aren't the same people. You don't know her, or her situation, or her reasoning. She doesn't owe you an explanation. And how do you know she's not sitting at anyone's bedside? She kept a double mastectomy secret until after the fact! She appears to have a healthy private life you aren't aware of.
If she did prioritize a career over a funeral— so what? I'm getting my mom's ashes today. We had to push back the funeral 4 or 5 days because I was taking a professional exam I need to get employment. If I could not have made it because if it, yes, I would've missed the damn funeral. I have a family to feed, the…
When it comes to grief and funerals? You don't have enough info. It's ugly.
A little less than a week ago we had my mom's funeral, and yanno what? There are lots of reasons not to go to one.
I think it's safe to assume the majority of people are not buying every game new.
I frequently get used games for 80-90% off.
HAHAHAHA, no, it's not like piracy. You are not buying temporary use of the game, you buy the game disc. Except for change and re-sell the content of the disc as your own, you can pretty much do whatever the fuck you want with it. It's cute, though.
The benefit you're talking about does not appear to be to the consumer.
No, I am not going to be happy that one of the few advantages of consoles over PCs is disappearing. Used games are one of the ways I can afford a gaming console in the first place.
Now that I'm playing it, it feels more like the Hitchhiker's Guide text adventure game.
You either trolling or really, really dumb.
