Congratulations! A small wedding in the mountains sounds GLORIOUS!

Price Tag got a ton of airtime in the US. It has gone 4x Platinum (thanks Wikipedia!) and was also featured in the original Pitch Perfect movie.

The ice cream truck used to always patrol my grandparent’s neighborhood and we would all beg to get something every time it came around (because obviously we got whatever we wanted when we were at their house). Frozen treats was apparently where my grandma drew the line—She told us that the truck was how the grocery

Mine tends to be a bit more on the garlicky side since I add more cloves and don’t use apple. The grapes go in at the end as more of a topping/garnish. On second look, my recipe doesn’t use milk like the BA one so its a bit less creamy than I imagine the BA one to be (although the bread definitely thickens it up).

Ajo blanco soup! I use a recipe in a Spanish cookbook I have but this Bon Apetit recipe is pretty close (my recipe doesn’t have apples and I usually up the garlic though since I never think it’s enough). SUPER refreshing on a hot day !

Elaine Chao was the commencement speaker at my college graduation. Her speech was...not good. I remember feeling extremely slighted that she was selected (especially because the graduating class several years earlier had Mister Rogers as their speaker).

I’m a current Stallis resident and had never heard of this place. Pegasus on Greenfield is my Greek diner of choice, but Pallas is a very solid 2nd choice.

Also, the dude in this video is SO very stereotypical West Allis. I love it.

Milwaukee routinely handles over 100K visitors over Labor Day weekend every 5 years when Harley holds their big anniversary celebrations. Pretty sure the 50K expected for the DNC will be doable

Hooray! I wish I could vote for Beto. I did however early vote on Wednesday and got to cast my ballot to (hopefully) get a-hole extraordinaire Scott Walker out of the governor’s seat in Wisconsin as well as help re-elect my awesome senator Tammy Baldwin!

Are those ground up potato crisps on top?

I like your style. I am currently having pretzel thins dipped in olive tapenade and a can of ice-cold sparkling wine for dinner.

Holy crap, I live locally and I do not remember hearing about this (although I don’t doubt that it happened). It’s sad that these types of things have started to happen so frequently around here that they all start to run together.

The headline is a bit misleading. She’ll go back to the Winnebago Mental Health Hospital for the time being (where I believe she’ll be with the adult population?), however she can start petitioning for release as early as this summer. The sentence only means she has to be under state treatment for 40 years...not that

Thank you!!

Since you’re only working with one hook, you have to finish a stitch completely before you move on to the next one so thankfully you don’t end up with extra loops.

Thank you! It’s all one yarn ball that transitions from color to color (after the white it gradually changes to a light mint, then darker teal and then gradually back to the dark gray again). The nursery is decorated in similar colors so I’m hoping the finished product will match nicely!

That’s gorgeous!

I’m a self-taught crocheter and am tackling my first blanket for a friend’s baby arriving later this winter. It has been a beast so far but I’m hoping it will look like I pictured in my head once it’s done (probably long after the baby arrives...)!

Now playing

This state is bonkers on so many levels. I’m just going to sit back, have another Riverwest Stein and let the Manitowoc Minute verbalize my feelings real quick.

Have you tried Dilly Diner? Hipster as heck, but super cute old-school style diner. Delicious brunch and they make all their AMAZING bakery items in-house.
