Some people are eclectic, adventurous readers who like to try new things and chance it with books that might not ordinarily be in their wheelhouse. Your advice doesn’t work in that situation.

Yeah, I don’t finish every book, but I also don’t just quit a book the second it bores me either. I also have a Goodreads challenge to consider. :)

Nobody was listening to her when she was talking policy, no one was asking her about policy, policy wasn’t being reported because something or another — what was it? — was pulling focus. And it was then damned tempting to address what people seemed to prefer to talk about. What they DID prefer to talk about.
